This intimate, comfortable cottage is pristine and crisp and begs for you to relax. It is a second home for the owner and is tastefully appointed with new upscale cottage furniture. It has a beautiful lagoon and sunset view from the screened porch and deck. There is patio furniture and a gas grill which are great for chilling out after a day on the beach. The lagoon attracts some interesting birds and wildlife - a haven for admiring nature. The beach is about a 7 minute walk from the cottage. On route to the beach is a pool which guests of the Greenslake Cottages have access to with no charge. This upscale cottage was completely remodeled in 2006- hardwood floors, granite counters.The open den and dining room combination have a panoramic view of the lagoon through the sliding glass doors and windows. Equipped with colorTV, DVD, stereo/CD,WIFi in the den The kitchen has been enlarged with an eat on bar and has ample space for a gourmet chef to do their magic.

Additional information about rental rates

  • $700-1500/Week
  • Plus 12.5% tax
    Summer weeks are rented Saturday through Saturday.
    Initial deposit is due within one week of reserving villa. $500 damage deposit - returned if no damage. Written information will be mailed along with a receipt to guest after receiving initial deposit. Second deposit is due one month prior to arrival. Check-in instructions and a second receipt will be mailed after the second deposit is received. Gate pass will be reserved at this time.

    Summer $1500 + 12.5% tax/week
    Spring/Fall $900 + 11.5% tax/week
    Winter $650 + 11.5% tax/week
    Weeks with holidays may have special rates
  • As this is our second home and not just a rental cottage, a rental contract will be required along with a $500 damage deposit. The damage deposit will be returned if the cottage is not damaged.
    Rental reservations can be less than a week in fall and spring

The master bedroom has a king size bed with a shutter head board. There is a bath with large tiled shower off of the master. There is a small cable TV in the master bedroom. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and there is bath with tub + shower. The cottage has central air and heat and has plantation ceiling fans in both bedrooms, screened porch and den. The cottage is in the West Beach area and the Straw Market is just a short walk. Amenities: Fully furnished enlarged gourmet kitchen with ceramic top stove, dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster oven, pantry to store groceries, refrigerator with ice maker. Full size washer and dryer. 2 cable TVs, stereo, VCR, CD player, radio in master bedroom, answering machine. All linens and towels and beach towels. 2 beach chairs.

My hubby and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this cozy cottage. It was everything we expected and more. Even more cozy in person, even more comfortable than it looks.
I wish we could have stayed much longer. It was so quiet and nice. The walk to the beach was nothing, really. We loved watching the birdies out on the back porch. What a treat when we got to see a Blue Heron in the back yard. There were so many personal touches, the kitchen was very well equipped. It was wonderful, relaxing and I would go again in a heart beat.

Great vacation cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the cottage. It was comfortable, immaculate, and the kitchen was so well equipped that we ate most of our meals there. It was a quick walk to the beach and had great access to the bike trails. The week went by too quickly. We look forward to returning.

Quiet Get-Away

My husband and I and our and two daughters spent a week at the cottage during the first week of June. The weather was perfect - not too hot and not too cold. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and quiet evenings so much we didn't even want to venture out to restaurants. We ate our meals on the screened in porch while we watched the many species of birds and listened to the fish jump in the lagoon. The cottage is very nicely decorated and well-maintained (extraordinarily clean). I would highly recommend this accomadation.

Another Great Week at Kiawah

Linda and I have rented from the Garris family for many years and always find their property to be great...... this was maybe the best one yet. Very quite and cozy and such great accomodations made the trip so much more enjlyable.
The description was very accurate and had all the amenities needed. Everything was very clean and in good working order. The home was just perfect for us and we highly reccommend it to anyone.
Don't forget to take in the new Atlantic Room at the Ocean Course.

Quiet, lovely cottage

This is a lovely, quiet, comfortably appointed home. Our family of two adults, two pre-teen children spent a summer week and never noticed neighbors, other than a friendly nod or wave. The dishes, glassware, appliances, etc. are upscale--not usual rental fare. There is a pretty lagoon right out back, with a screened porch where we took meals. It is a couple of minutes' bike ride to the beach, with a pool and outdoor shower along the route. There is also a good restaurant, ice-creamery and shops a stone's throw away. And the owners were delightful to deal with.We look forward to returning.
