We are offering for rent our beautifully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bath Villa on fabulous Kiawah Island. As we are located directly on the beach, there is an ocean view from the deck and a beautiful island view from most of the unit. A boardwalk leads you from our building through the dunes to Kiawah's famous beach. Our Villa is just a short stroll to Couger Point golf course, West Beach Village tennis center and the Straw Market complete with shops and a casual restaurant. Kiawah's new shopping area, Freshfields Village, is only a 5 minute drive. Here you will find a range of restaurants, grocery store, Starbucks and shopping of all varieties.

Amenities: Our villa is tastefully decorated with the vacationers comfort in mind. There is a large tiled foyer, full bath with tub and shower, a large bedroom with a king-size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room with a sleeper sofa and a dining area for four people. The bedroom features a comfortable king size bed, color TV with cable/DVD and a fantastic island view with access to the deck through the large sliding glass door. From the bedroom, there is easy access to the tastefully decorated bathroom with tub, shower and hair dryer. The bright kitchen is fully equipped: full size refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, phone, dishes and flatware.

Activities: Activities on Kiawah Island are many: hiking, biking, golf, tennis, fishing, wildlife viewing, shopping, swimming, snorkeling/diving, boating, and sailing just to name a few. Kiawah is famous for over 20 miles of paved bicycle paths, 10 miles of wide pristine beach, 5 Championship golf courses including the Ocean Course, site of the 2007 Senior PGA tournament and the 2012 PGA tournament. Night Heron Park offers basketball courts, soccer fields, picnic area, as well as nature center where you can arrange to rent kayaks and canoes.

Area: Kiawah Island is a private gated island located 35 minutes south of historic Charleston, South Carolina. In Charleston you can take a walking or horse drawn carriage tour, visit antique shops, theatres, galleries, museums, and upscale shops. Dining options in Charleston are extensive. Kiawah is about 35 minutes driving time from the Charleston airport. Nearby Seabrook Island offers charter fishing, boat rentals and horseback riding.

This vacation rental was one of the 'Shipwatch' units and it was perfect. It was exactly as described with a beautiful ocean view and a step away from the beach. It was one bedroomed, perfect for a romantic week!. The most important thing for my husband and I, whenever we go away is clealiness. This villa was very neat and clean and equipped with everything you'd need. Shops and restaurants are close by and if you feel like a drive, the quaint, historic town of Charleston is only 20 mins away. Paradise....

The perfect get-away

My husband and I were looking for the perfect get-away and found it on beautiful Kiawah island at this immaculate ocean front villa .A beautiful beach at the door steps of the building and endless bike paths connecting the island from one end to another awaited us. Early evenings we spent on the balcony at the villa taking in the ocean breeze while sipping a glass of wine. A cozy living/dining room, large bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen invited us to relax at our pace.
We especially enjoyed the long bike rides to remote places where we could observe nesting birds and large alligators lurking from the many ponds around the island.
The resort offers a very lovely shopping area with a mix of excellent restaurants, boutiques and a wonderful supermarket
that carries an array of specialties and ready made dishes for take-out. So we felt there was no need travel outside the resort for anything.
We are planning to return to Kiawah, a nature treasure.

What a great place! It had everything we were looking for in a vacation villa. Oceanfront, short walk to the beach, the villa was very clean and had everything we needed. I was very pleased at how quiet it was for the month of June too. The beach was not crowded either. I would highly recommend this villa!

Perfect Getaway

This villa is perfect for a couple or a small family. Furnished in lovely "beach style" and very convenient to the beach which is accessible via a boardwalk. The pictures online capture the layout exactly. View from the balconies was of beautiful palm trees and the ocean.
Our favorite activity was biking around the island, reading on the beach and going out to nice restaurants. Charleston is very convenient and we dined there twice. We loved Magnolia's and "Slightly North of Broad." Hege's at the Freshfields Shopping area was also very good. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing in Kiawah

My husband and I spent a relaxing week in this villa. All descriptions are accurate. We were very comfortable in this clean and cozy place and hated to leave.

We spent our days walking the gorgeous beach and kicking back in lounge chairs on the beach for a couple of hours. We also spent some time just observing and marveling at the beauty of Kiawah.

I had a Mother's Day dining event at the Jasmine Porch, where the chefs were showcasing their local cuisines - with their moms! The Ocean Course Grill is a must do for lunch- the view is spectacular. The meals at both venues were excellent. Freshfields has a nice selection of stores, including Newton Farms for groceries and Hege's for a good dinner. It is a 40-minute ride to Charleston, if you can drag yourself away from the beach.

The owner's communications and instructions were gracious and clear. We appreciated the opportunity to stay at this lovely villa and hope to return in the future.
