This cozy cabin is located off Scenic HWY 11 near Tablerock.

This is in the heart of Upstate South Carolina near the Appalachian Trail. The cabin is located on Oolenoy River, which is A class a trout river. It is within 5 minutes from a public golf course. Jocasse and Hartwell lakes are only 20 minutes away, with Lake Keowee only 10 minutes down the road.

Tablerock State park is 2 miles from the cabin with many other parks also very close by.

This area offers: Hiking the Foothills Trail from Tablerock State Park, Biking or Motorcycle Riding, Golf at The Rock at Jocassee, Boating, paddling or diving at Keowee or Jocassee lakes, Swimming at Jocassee or Tablerock State Park, Canoeing at Tablerock Lake, Local flavors and crafts, Ice cream or lunch from Aunt Sue's, Horseback Riding, Quiet walks, Fishing in the river or the lakes, explore the many colorful places around here. Short trip to Hendersonville or Asheville.

Amenities: This roomy cabin has one queen size bedroom, 2 single size bedrooms and a pullout couch that sleeps 2.One large bathroom. The Kitchen comes all equipped with full size refrigerator, gas stove, Microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pots and pans. It sits 10 feet from the river with a back porch. Great for evening get-togethers. The area is great for Kids, young and old. The cabin also has satellite television and DVD player. Charcoal grill provided ( please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid).

Even better than represented!!

My girlfriend and I chose to rent this property mainly due to the location, but when we stepped inside we realized it was truly perfect. It's better than the pictures could ever tell you. Read a few entries of the visitor log and you'll see what I mean. We're not ones for the golf course resort kind of places. The owner is very nice and the place is filled with all kinds of nice accents. Great feel to it. And the books of waterfalls and great hiking in the area was really handy. We didn't count on having that local info. We'll be back for sure!

Great Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed at "The Shack" from 5/9-5/11 and cannot say enough good things about it! My husband absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave - we both wish we could have stayed longer. It was just what we needed to get away for a couple of days. From the outside, the cabin doesn't look like much but the inside was definitely a pleasant surprise. We brought all of our own food, as the cabin had everything we needed, so we never tried any of the local restaurants. We went hiking at Table Rock then spent the evening fishing and enjoying the fire pit. We will definitely be back again - hopefully sooner rather than later. Thank you for a great stay, Tone!

Stove didn't work to good , couldn't cook a turkey. Still we love the place!!!!!

There's a reason they don't have a picture of the outside, it's a cabin(of sorts) a rustic cabin, so don't let the first look set any questionable impresstions.Once inside it is very comfortable with every thing you need for a great time,it's clean, gas cooking , and heat along with a great wood stove for extra heat. Beds are firm but comfortable, lots of outdoor space for kids to play . Be sure to visit Aunt Sue's for a meal or two. Would we stay there again? YES . Go , Have fun, and you will talk about your stay at the RUSTIC CABIN for a long time. JB, DIANE,& "T"

There's a reason they don't show you a picture of the outside of the cabin! It truely is a cabin ,a rustic cabin,so don't let your first look make too big an impression. Inside is rustic and comforable, very clean with all the nessesities you will need. once you get the hang of getting the wood stove for extra heat it does a good job.My english bull dog slept in front of it and would come and get me if it was low on wood.But truely a great place and YES we would stay again. your host lives close by and is a great person to work with. thanks Tone , it was great.
