jennifer & gregg purchased this house in 1989
We chose this property for its open views of the river and the mid-nineteenth century mill architecture.
Enjoy our unique perennial gardens! Explore the variety of activities that Burlington and Lake Champlain offer.
The Dubuque Guest House was a great home base for my wife, daughter and I to explore Burlington. The Owners were very nice and accommodating. It's a place I would recommend to friends and family and hope we get the opportunity to stay again someday... hopefully when its warmer!
A huge thank you to Jennifer and Gregg for making our long weekend away so memorable. The guest house is absolutely perfect for a getaway. The room is beautifully decorated (with original art), the kitchen has everything you might need and the overall feel of the house is cozy and peaceful. The location is perfect - a short walk over the bridge into Winooski and there are several places for breakfast or dinner, a few bars as well as some shops. The house is short drive (5 minutes) from downtown Burlington. Jennifer and Gregg are amazing hosts - they have thought of everything you might need for an enjoyable stay, including providing fruit, milk, flowers, granola, and tea/coffee. Overall an amazing stay - we will back!!
This apartment is even better than the photos, and the owners supplied everything you need to get your weekend (or week!) away started. There were more towels than we would need for our stay, bathrobes, extra blankets and pillowers, juice, granola, fruit, milk and delicious coffee! The owners display much of their own art on the walls, as well as art from local artists. We wanted to purchase all of it!
The apartment is spotless, comfortable, and completely unique. Stay here!
We strongly recommend this place. Beautiful apartment, very clean. Granola, fruit, coffee, tea left for the guest was very good. Well situated, a walk away from good restaurants and bars. We will definitely return.
We loved our stay at the Dubuque Lane Guest. house. Jennifer and Gregg are perfect hosts. Upon our arrival we found fresh flowers, fresh fruit, locally made granola (delicious), coffee, milk and juice. There were also two spa robes in the closet, such a nice touch. The studio is beautifully decorated and filled with the owners' original art work. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you'd need if you want to cook your own meals. The soaps in the bathroom are also locally made - so Vermont! The bed and pillows are very comfortable, the bookcase is stocked with plenty of interesting books and magazines, and there is even a notebook filled with information about the owners' favorite Burlington restaurants and activities. Many great restaurants are a short walk away, as is the Winooski River Walk. You can't go wrong staying here.
I stayed in this gem when I was in Burlington visiting my daughter who is a student at UVM. She and I fell in love with the place. At first we couldn't figure out the neighborhood and building. It looked sort of industrial and the rushing river right outside although beautiful, looked close to flood level (April)! Then we realized that the area and the buildings are part of Burlington's woolen mill history. The interior of the studio apartment is beautifully remodeled, spotless and simply charming. My daughter wanted to stay with me both nights I was there. She said she wants her first apartment in New York to look just like this! The artwork on the walls makes you feel like you are living in a gallery. Every detail has been addressed: special towels in the bathroom for the beach by the river, a hook for the bottle opener in the kitchen, local granola, honey and even the soaps! I made a home cooked meal for my daughter and some of her friends in the fully stocked kitchen. We had a blast! Jennifer and Greg were eager to help and very accommodating and have obviously worked hard to make this a special place.
