This cottage is situated on some of the best waterfront Silver Lake has to offer. The views are spectacular! You will enjoy 218' of private frontage, and the cottage is on a cove, so while you can enjoy any kind of watercraft you like, the biggest and fastest can't come speeding by your private waterfront! A small island directly in front of the cottage protects the cove, and is also a great destination for swimming or paddling the paddle boat to. Kids love their private 'deserted' island to explore all while in sight of the grown-ups! The cottage has two bedrooms on the main level (master bedroom and one bedroom with a double bed) and a full bath. An awesome deck leads off this level for wonderful views across the lake. On the lower level, there is another full bath with one queen-size and one full-size bed. There is also a queen size sofa sleeper on this level. A game room and walk-in dressing area are also on this level. Wireless internet available.

The Traverse City area is renowned for its natural beauty. Some of the worlds top rated lakes are located in the area. During the summer, there are many festivals, such as the National Cherry Festival, 3 wine festivals, the Interlochen Summer Arts festival, the new Traverse City Film Festival, and also new this year the Semi-professional Beach Bums Baseball Team. There are also many top rated restaurants and shops nearby. If you want to just relax though, there is no better place than your own private deck overlooking the lake.

The cottage sleeps 10 people maximum, please. The cottage has a deck, phone and cable TV (2 TVs; one with DVD/VHS player). The fully-equipped kitchen has new appliances (stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher), and other small essentials (coffeemaker, microwave, toaster, dishes, pots and pans). Bed linens and basic indoor towels are provided. The lakefront property has 218' of private waterfront, a dock, picnic table, swing set, Weber gas grill, charcoal grill, and a fire pit. A 5-person paddle boat, a 16' fiberglass canoe, swim raft, and a 12' aluminum rowboat are included with summer rent. 20' pontoon boat available to rent. Amenities: Year round cottage has heat, phone, cable TV, ceiling fans. Kitchen has new, full-size appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. Coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots and pans. Bed linens and basic towels are provided.

Outside: charcoal grill, Weber gas grill, fire pit, swing set, 5-person paddle boat, aluminum rowboat, 16' fiberglass canoe. Newer Pontoon boat (20' w/40hp motor) available to rent. Our rates are at least 50% less than rental companies in Traverse City. The cottage is only 10 minutes from downtown Traverse City. It is also close to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and unlimited dining and shopping options.

Location off of Silver lake Rd makes for wonderful access to traverse city (downtown in less then 10 minutes) and the beautiful waters of grand traverse bay. It is also only a 40 minute drive to sleeping bear dunes (which makes for a wonderful day trip). The amenities included with the rental are in wonderful condition and provided us with hours of fun. The rental home is kept quite tidy and helped us feel same and comfortable.

Been there twice now in two years. Owners go over and beyond to make it feel like home away from home. The view is wonderful. We have recommended this house to others as well we enjoy it so much.
