Absolutely wonderful home and location!

My husband, newborn daughter, and I rented this home for two weeks in July. The weather was perfect and we could not have been happier with the house, owners responsiveness to our needs, and location. The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and the views from the house were amazing. Literally we could simply sit in the living room or on the deck all day long and enjoy the spectacular scenery rain or shine (tons of windows!). We used the canoe at the house to explore the marsh and explored many of the surrounding beaches. One day we went to Freeport, another to Kennebunkport, another to the Falmouth Audobon Society for a hike and a few times we went into Portland for a nice dinner. There is also an awesome pizza place just up the road (and we're from NY so we're pretty picky pizza eaters!) and great ice cream.
I would highly recommend this property and location. The owners were very accomodating and checked in a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed.
The only potential negative for a family with older kids is you would have to drive to the beach (or ride bikes) because it's not exactly walking distance. But it's literally an easy 5 minute drive.
