View spectacular sunsets and amazing sites and activities. Scuba/Snorkel with the turtles (even walk on a beach with turtles), go whale watching, visit the Hulihee Palace. Get an up-close look at Kilauea, the world’s most active volcano. See lava flowing, walk through lava tubes. These are just of the few of the Big Island’s marvelous sites to visit. For the adventurous, try a jet ski, windsurfing, para sailing, or my favorite: a zip-line tour. Of course, there is various Island tours and abundance of nightlife also.
When you return to the resort after exploring the many wonders of the Big Island, relax by enjoying the two outdoor pools, hot tubs or even the exercise room. For your use, we have six barbecue stations to host your very own mini-luau. Take part in many island-inspired activities hosted by the resort. On Aloha Tuesdays, enjoy a hula show. For those who need to stay connected, try sitting outside on your own personal Lani enjoying the view while you surf the internet on free wifi.
The Big Island is an island offering spectacular contrasts. Twelve distinct climate zones exist here, from tropical rain forests in Hilo and Ka‘u’s arid desert to the snow-capped summit of Mauna Kea. By the way, Ka‘u is the southern most point in the U.S.
For a Big Island experience and vacation you will remember for a lifetime, reserve our Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort. We treat all our travels as an adventure. We will happily share our experiences of our Hawaiian adventures.

Jackie and I (Mike) love to travel. I am a retired firefighter (I treat everyday as a bonus.) and Jackie has several more years before retiring. Normally we try to plan our trips. But whether we take an impromptu long weekend or a two week trip, we treat our trips as an Adventure. We love Hawaii. Sometimes we wake up, look at each other and say OK, where are we going? Next thing we know were on our way. Whether its in a car or on a plane, we're on our way. One time it was diamond hunting in Arkansas USA, Imagine that, diamond hunting in the US. No, we didn't find any but two people did next to us. Another time was to Washington DC for 4 of July fireworks. You get the idea. Life is too short. Take those adventures and make memories that will last a live-time. Aloha.
We love the Kona area. We first visited the Big Island and purchased Kona Hawaiian Resort in 2004. We have visited 5 times in the past 6 years. During the recent past, we were convinced to sell and purchase another property thinking it was for the better. It was a mistake. We have repurchased Kona Hawaiian Resort and will visit more regularly.
