This home was a fantastic home with space and luxury in an atmosphere that was peaceful and comfortable. We spent our Thanksgiving here with my husbands family and we had multiple families in the home and it accommodated all of us with space and places to retreat if we needed it. The game room has a pool table off of the 2nd kitchen in the lower level along with a huge bedroom with a full bath off of that room. This was great for our family with little ones so they could get up early and have breakfast down there and not wake anyone else up upstairs. The porches overlook the valley and have a running brook and pond right under it….must be amazing in the spring and summer to sit out there and read and relax. There are large tables to have full dinners and gaming nights and be able to fit everyone. The fireplace is double sided and is so soothing and warm. This home gleams and had so many oohhhs and ahhhs when everyone walked in. We were so lucky to have found a home that was close to the Flat Rock Playhouse for a member who was performing there to be able to stay with us and visit. The trails are fantastic and you are close to Hendersonville and also Chimney Rock from here as well. We had a great time and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a retreat that is true luxury. Thank you Lynn!
We stayed at Angel's Rest for a long weekend with another family and loved the home and surrounding area. We picked apples one day with the kids and did mountain biking in DuPont Forest. The waterfalls and hikes were some of the prettiest we've ever seen. The home is spacious and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We're all looking forward to heading back again soon.
I cannot say enough about our stay at Angels Rest for Christmas 2012. The house is simply gorgeous. From the beautiful furnishings, breath taking views and immaculate landscaping. Our two families settled in very nicely and enjoyed every part of this home. It is perfectly located. Just a short drive to such quaint towns such as Flat Rock and Hendersonville and just 30 minute from Asheville. The house easily accommodated all eight of us with plenty of room to spare. We look forward to spending more vacations here soon.
What a beautiful, peaceful place!! It is so convenient for exploring the small towns around Hendersonville and Ashville, NC and also hiking right on the property. Flat Rock has a great theatre and we saw ZELDA, a great musical and also attended a concert at the Biltmore. We tried many fine eating places and had a great time shopping at the antique stores and other unique shops in the area. But you don’t have to leave the house to enjoy the experience. The house is ideal for several families or a retreat for a group. The high ceilings and enormous windows and fireplace that opens to the living area and dining area gives you the feeling of being outside while inside. A great place to relax and enjoy the mountains!!
During our spring break, our group of eight adult cyclists and hikers spent a wonderful week at Angel’s Rest. The house is extremely spacious, very well maintained and the kitchen well organised. The decorating was a wonderful combination of glamorous, funky and rustic that blended so well. We particularly enjoyed the opportunities to spread out around the house to play games in the games room, knit in the upstairs den, sun on the deck or sit in one of the many quiet places to read yet when we wanted to be together there was plenty of space to cook and dine or sit in the living-room. You will find Lynn very friendly, helpful and quick to respond to questions regarding the house and places to shop and eat. We highly recommend a visit to this beautiful mountain home.
I cant say enough wonderful things about our stay at angels landing. The owner decorated the lovely cabin for christmas for us . the home was truly stunning and accommodated 12 of us with no problem. The pictures do not do the house justice. It was even nicer in real life We had every age from 2 yrs old to college age. There was something to do for everyone. the little ones enjoyed the childrens books and the teens loved the pool table downstairs. My married daughter and her family loves the privacy of the downstairs living area and kitchen. Thanks agian to Lynn for all her help. We would love to came back again and see the cabin in the Fall.
