Lahaina Roads is an intimate, local, Lahaina-based resort that is over 60% owner-occupied. Completely remodeled, our condo (#308) offers a perfectly relaxing oceanfront home base for enjoying the pleasures of West Maui - Ka'anapali beach, golfing art galleries and historic Lahaina town. Lahaina Roads is one of 2 oceanfront resorts in Lahaina Town. It is a small resort, and by far the most home-like, with lots of owner occupants, in a small residential area of north Lahaina. You can walk most everywhere (Safeway, Ka'anapali beaches, the Cannery Mall) or take the free shopping shuttle all over the west side. In car-intensive Maui, this resort makes it so easy, you might find you almost don't want a car - you could just relax on your lanai and watch the green sea turtle activity until the sun sets lingeringly over Lanai, then stroll down to Aloha Mixed Plate for dinner and listen to the music of the Old Lahaina Luau wafting over from next door.

D&D Had a wonderful time watching the whales every morning, out the patio door. Seen a lot of sea turtles. The location is wonderful, we'd walk to town every time we went. There's a safeway grocery store a couple blocks away along with the mall. Just a perfect location and very nice apartment. We really enjoyed everything!!
We were visiting Maui for the first time so not quite sure where to stay. Our son thought we would like the Lahaina area so I concentrated on finding an affordable one bedroom condo there. He stressed the need for air conditioning as not all rentals have it. The week we were there, the weather was really warm, in the high 80's with no trade winds and high humidity. The a/c was an absolute lifesaver for us.
There is handicapped parking right next to the elevator which I needed and appreciated.
The condo itself has an amazing view of the ocean with no obstructions. We estimated we were about 60 feet from the seawall so not only can you see the ocean but you can also hear it loud and clear.
The condo was very clean and comfortable and we felt right at home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need if you intend to do some serious cooking. There were numerous condiments in the refrigerator and we added a few more for the next vacationer.
We were glad to see a nice cooler that we used for our trip to Hana and lots of ice blocks in the freezer.
The king size bed was quite comfortable, another big plus!
This complex only has 42 units so it was really pleasant with no large groups or parties to deal with.
Jan, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. If you rent one of her properties, she will send you a detailed list of helpful information based on her personal experiences on restaurants, shops, etc. We referred to this frequently and had some good meals and great coffee that we might not have found otherwise.
(We especially enjoyed the small coffee shop on Dickenson St. next to Cooler's. Excellent lattes!) The location of this condo was perfect for us. A five to ten minute drive to just about anywhere in Lahaina.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her condo and hope to stay there again.
We had the most amazing time at this condo. It was the perfect location, within walking distance of Safeway, Starbucks and dinner options. We drank coffee in the morning watching the turtles play in the surf from the balcony and wine at night watching the sunset with boat cruising in after a day out. The grounds are kept immaculately clean with an amazing pool and BBQ area. The condo was perfect for us and Jan, the owner was easy to work with and sent a very helpful list of all over island suggestions. We can't wait to return and will be back to book this wonderful gem!
This was our second trip to Lahaina and our first to Lahaina Roads. The condo was perfect in every way. Very clean and made you feel right at home. Our monthly stay was totally enjoyable. The condo has everything you need. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool was beautiful. The view from the lanai was outstanding, especially watching the whales jumping. This location is perfect for relaxation and if you like to walk everything is close by, grocery store, restaurants, and shopping. Baby Beach is also within walking distance. This was by far our best vacation ever. We highly recommend this condo and would definitely come back again. Thanks Jan for everything.
We had the good fortune to find this property on VRBO and book a ten night stay. Our daughter and her family stayed in another unit in the same complex. We feel this IS the best property in West Maui near Lahaina. Our unit stands out because the owner has taken care of all the little things that made our visit special. The view was sensational from the kitchen, living room and lanai; we saw humpback whales from the lanai within three hours of arrival and sea turtles were indeed abundant. We observed boats, outrigger canoes, and stand up surfers on a daily basis from the lanai. Another special feature of here that is not available in all units is air conditioning. In late afternoon the sun is intense and heats up the property, so having the air conditioning was a real plus for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary utensils; the only thing I did not see was a coffee grinder, so we bought ground coffee beans. The shower/tub area was very large; the tub was a jacuzzi style with many jets. The bbq worked great; there a picnic right there where you can eat steps from the water. The entire property including pool and landscape were very well maintained. The furniture is nice and in excellent condition. While this property is not located on a sandy beach, it is ocean front. In fact, the ocean is about five feet from the pool, which was right outside our room (and down two floors). We found "Baby Beach" a short (2 min) drive from the complex. Another thing we appreciated was free covered parking for all of the units--its a small complex and pretty quiet. We recommend renting a car, as it is a pretty long walk to downtown Lahaina; at least WE were glad to have a car. If you need help to plan an itinerary of things to do, I highly recommend Greg & Lou at Expedia "Local Expert", an outdoor booth right across the street from the Pioneer Inn on Front Street. Both have been in Lahaina for many years. They helped us plan out our entire week of activities; every single one was great! They also gave us great advise on places to eat. We recommend Fleetwood's, owned by Mick Fleetwood, Captain Jack's or Cool Cat's, and Cheeseburger in Paradise.
All in all this was undoubtedly our favorite family vacation ever. Our daughter and her family stayed in another unit in this complex, so we maintained our independence yet were close enough to do things together. Mahalo, Jan....We shall return!
We had a great stay here, it was a perfect place for us. We loved to wake up and sit on the lanai and watch the whales and the sea turtles. The condo had everything we needed, a fully equipped kitchen even a pineapple coring device which we used a few times.We definitely liked having the washer and dryer. It was close enough to downtown Lahaina and yet far enough from the crowds.The grocery store was very close and so were a bunch of restaurants. Most of our time at the condo was spent on the lanai watching the whales and the beautiful sunsets. We had the best vacation of our lives and it was a joy to stay here!!

All cancellations are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel 60 days (120 days for Holiday Season dates) or more prior to your trip, I issue a full refund minus the fee. Inside no-refund window, I will try to resell as many of your dates as possible, and will pass the proceeds on to you.
Rates for Extended stays: 14 to 27 nights = $155/night; 28+ nights = $135/night, all plus tax and reservation fee. One mid-stay maid service is required for longer stays at $70/per. For stays of 28+ nights, plan on paying for a maid service every 2 weeks.
Usual payment terms - 1/2 down now, the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. Installment plans can be arranged for longer stays.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
