Just got back from our family vacation @ Vista Cielo in St. John. The villa was amazing, the view a 10, the island fantastic!! I had traveled to St John several years ago and stayed @ the Westin. This time my family and I decided to rent a villa, and we were not disappointed. From first glance we were impressed with the architecture, the decor, the layout, and the feel of Vista Cielo. It was our home away from home for 7 days! We spent our days @ the beach, evenings we cooked in the amazing kitchen, and just relaxed and watched the Sunset over the bay. We loved that the bedrooms were separated and all 3 were full Master Suites. The 3rd bedroom was made into a King room rather than 2 twin beds as we were not traveling with children and preferred all king beds. This request was facilitated without a problem. Brenda met us in Cruz Bay, escorted us to the Villa and showed us around. She was wonderful and a great resource to have while on the island. Villa was spotless and in immaculate condition. The pool and landscaping top notch!
The island of St John is beautiful, it's scenary and beaches rival Hawaii. Lots of outdoor activities if you are the adventurous type and plenty of beaches to relax on and just waste away the day! Downtown is full of cool places to eat and fun island bars to spend Happy Hour at. Plenty of Drink specials!!! I highly suggest a boat trip either rent one for the day or sign up for a tour. My first time on the island the group I was with decided to rent a boat witha Captain for the day... FANTASTIC!!! We we on the "Naughty Nymph" and our captain was very knowledgable, informative and fun! This time we took a boat tour on "Bad Kitty" and were very impressed. This is the only one that goes all the Way to the Virgin Gorda baths/snorkling/lunvh/and the Soggy Dollar all in one day! Highly recommend this trip! Remember to bring your passports because you will be headed to BVI...a must see!!!! Rented a Jeep also a must if you are staying at a villa vs hotel. Just remeber they drive on the left, there are a lot of hills, but on the plus side the speed limit is 20mph so not a bad experience!
Thanks to Don and Brenda for facilitating a wonderful vacation!
