This cozy A-Frame sits in a very beautiful and secluded location but is only 5 minutes from town. It is on 2.5 acres and is directly on a designated ATV trail. Elk, bear, deer and turkey can be seen around our cottage. There is a nice deck outside, which is great for cooking out and at night we have a great spot for a campfire.
The A-Frame has two bedrooms with queen beds and a loft that has two single beds, a double bed and a hide-away bed. This cottage can sleep up to 10 people comfortably. The two bedrooms on the main floor both have window air conditioners. One bath with marble flooring and ceramic flooring throughout the cottage. It is fully furnished with a washer and dryer and the kitchen is fully equipped with a dish washer. It is very rustic inside with many animal mounts.
You are only 5 minutes away from canoe, tubing, boat and jet ski rentals on either Mullet Lake, Burt Lake and Indian River. You are only 25 minutes from Mackinac City, Petoskey, Gaylord, Cheboygan and Harbor Springs, which are great day trips for shopping and site seeing activities. Indian River also has the largest crucifix in the world at the 'Cross in the Woods'. We are also close to many golf courses.

We love Indian River. There is so much to do and you are close to everything. We decided to build our cottage right on an ATV trail because of our love for quad riding.
Quiet, but yet close to everything. Endless trails for ATV riding. The wildlife can be seen right on our property.
We were looking for a vacation spot that would allow us to ride atv's an enjoy the out doors. What we found was the perfect combination, The cabin was inviting and comfortable and the property offered us peace and quite and when you pulled out of the drive way you were on the orv's trails. You could stay in that woods and ride for days. But you are surrounded by miles of trails to explore with in a 5 minute drive.
The Bridge was only 30 miles north, Traverse City was only 30 miles west Gaylord was 30 miles south. So you are surrounded with all kinds of things to see and do. We took a day trip to Boyne Mountain to zip line again less than 40 minutes. You will not be sorry when you book your stay. It was an amazing time with my family and I would suggest anyone that wants to enjoy a great family experience call and reserve a week. We took 10 days and I wish I could have stayed longer. The owners of this place really have created an oasis and we were very thankful that they did.
This cottage is exactly what you see in the pictures. We spent our time 4 wheeling but kayaked from Henley's out of Wolverine. Nice people. My son had a problem with the BIG Elk mount in the bedroom. The washer, dryer and shower work great. Nice to have after an all day ride. It's a nice place to take your dog. Very peaceful. They say it sleeps 12, and it does. But I'm not sure I'd have more than 8 with one bathroom! Thank you so much for the experience AND returning our deposit so quickly.
We really enjoyed our week stay at your cottage . Loved the very peacefull location of the cottage and the access to the atv trails. The cabin was also located close to all the places we came to see and visit while we were there for the week. Mackanic Island was our favorite place we visited , but we also visited Mackinaw City with all its shops and fine resturants . The Lighthouse Cruise was fantastic. And after our long day of siteseeing your cozy cottage was a welcome sight to come back to and relax and unwind , very peacefull and loved the decor of the cabin. We would highly recommend your cottage to anyone looking for a nice , peacefull place to stay while in MI.

Gerry came to our rescue, when we were surprised by other arrangements (reality versus advertisement). Gerry went above and beyond to assist us. Upon arrival we were all extremely pleased with the property and surroundings. A very quiet and serene environment. The cottage is wonderful. The pictures really do not do the property justice, as the comfort and amenties are plentiful. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to "get away", but still be reasonably close to town. Any time you can get your teenagers to sit and play board and card games rather than watch tv and video games is a win. People who have ATVs would really like this property. Thanks for the wonderful week!
My family enjoyed this quintessential 'Northern Michigan' retreat! This cozy cottage is perfect for a weekend away from it all! It had all the necessities while retaining the charm! Loved the great deck to sit on and enjoy the wilderness. It is rustic and still close to everything. Great family memories were made here!
