Feel at home when you walk through the front door of this cozy, clean mountain bungalow. No steps! All on one level. An expanse of light-filled windows leads your eye through a roomy living area to the beautiful view of the Grandfather Mountain range. This is just the place for a weekend get-away; a winter skiing, ice skating or snow tubing trip (5 minutes away from Hawksnest Tubing); or an extended summer stay to enjoy the North Carolina’s High Country’s cool mountain breezes, fishing, golfing, hiking, tennis and for the more adventurous zipline, tubing, rafting and cycling. Don’t forget the fall. See the magnificent views of the fall foliage from a bird’s eye view and enjoy all the local autumn festivals and music. Rest and relax in the secluded hot tub with a magnificent view on the deck.
You will love the bright openness of the large living room, dining area and inviting, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house with ceramic tile floors in the roomy bathrooms. For your convenience our home is locally managed. Enjoy and welcome home!
We are retired, enjoy traveling with our two dogs and always love our stay at the Berg Haus - grilling on the deck.
Hurricane Katrina destroyed our vacation home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The mountains are a welcome change to avoid hurricanes and enjoy cooler summer weather and actually see winter snow.
Great mountain view, wonderful seasonal weather, peaceful, secluded, enjoy seeing local wildlife, near cultural events.
