Lakeside Retreat On Beautiful Long Lake With Pontoon Boat

Northeastern Michigan 2/1/2 Hours North Of Detroit.

We would welcome your stay in our first floor lakefront retreat suite. During your stay, you will be the only occupants in this 2007 custom built two level home as the upper level will be unoccupied and locked. Our first floor guest suite is smoke and pet free, approximately 1200 sq. ft. in size and sleeps 7. The open floor plan-family room-dining room-kitchen are all open to another, ideal for socializing and viewing Long Lake. In the open floor plan, there is a gas fireplace (for any cool nights) cable tv, along with a dvd player and ceiling fans. The fully equipped kitchen includes your major appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Cooking utensils, cookware, dishes, cups, coffee pot, toaster, etc are provided. Sleeping arrangements are very comfortable with two nice size bedrooms with queen beds, a separate bunk quarters room that has a single bed over a full bed.. Clean bed linens, blankets and pillows are provided. Bring your own towels , washcloths and dishrags. Our guest suite has one large size bathroom with a good size shower.

Outside is a large patio with a gas bbg grill, patio furniture and an upper level deck to enjoy the evening sunsets. The large level lakefront yard (no steep hills or steps to climb) leads you to 55' of private lakefront which is sandy and shallow, ideal for small children to enjoy. Fishing is very good from the 50' dock and a 12' rowboat is there for your use as well. Scenic 500 acre all sports Long Lake is the most desirable lake in the area, offering exceptional boating, fishing and swimming. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful area of northern Michigan it's worth checking out. We want your stay to be an enjoyable one, with all the amenities and clean accommodations; truly it is home away from home. Your vacation week will leave many lasting memories. If you would like to bring your boat the weekly rate is less $ 400. The public boat launch is about 1/2 mile away from our home.

RESERVATION/SECURITY DEPOSIT

Your reservation will be held with a $500 deposit this will also serve as a security deposit. The security deposit is refundable within 14 days less a $50 cleaning fee and providing there is no damage done to the home or its contents and no damage done to the pontoon boat or it's motor. The home should be left in the same clean condition as when you arrived, if more extensive cleaning is required additional charges may apply. Cleaning supplies are provided. The security for home only is $250, same provisions apply as above.

BALANCE OF PAYMENT DUE 30 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL.

Cashier check only

CANCELLATION POLICY - if a reservation is cancelled you will forefit your reservation security deposit, with exception if we are able to rent the week you cancelled or you choose another available week within the same calendar year.

About The Owner

After looking for several years to find the right lot to build our vacation and future retirement home, we found the perfect lot and lake. With 5 children and 13 grandchildren, we knew the home had to have plenty of elbow room. We designed the plans and our two level home was completed in 2007. Unfortunately, with the economic downswing, several children of our family left the state for other opportunities and the home is not frequently used as we expected it to be. We decided to open up our first floor suite for families to experience a wonderful vacation week on beautiful Long Lake. By the way, we named it Lakeside (it's on Lakeside Boulevard) Retreat (is where the stress is left behind and not felt here.)

Why The Owner chose Hale

Short drive only 2 1/2 hours north of metro Detroit Minutes away from Ausable river, short drive to Tawas, West Branch, Oscodoa.

What makes this house unique

We find that during the week it is very peaceful and the lake is not very busy at all. Our guest suite of our home remains cool during the hot summer months and the fireplace keeps the guest suite nice and warm when needed

There isn't much we can add to what has been said already! We enjoyed even just sitting outside + watching the boats go by. We were very comfortable here and everything was just great. We have booked time already for next year.

You have a beautiful home + it was everything you said it would be. We had a great time here- fishing, hiking, +shopping . I used to spend my summer at long lake when I was a teen and this week has just extented the great memories.

Had a wonderful time. The morning was just a perfect time of a calm lake + blue skies. The river road trail was the best. Lots of walking + beautiful scenes. We had a few loons land at night + it was great, had a great time.
