This house is comfortable, clean and perfect for a weekend/week with friends and family. It had all the amenities advertised, was centrally located in Quechee and only a short drive to Woodstock or Hanover, NH. The owners were very responsive and helpful answering questions prior to our stay. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice Vermont getaway.
This home was in the perfect location for the event we were attending. We loved that it had two bedrooms with kingsize beds and two bedrooms with queen size beds, perfect for four couples. Also, having three bathrooms was a plus. It was neat and clean and exactly as we were told it would be. The kitchen and dining area were large enough for our crew for breakfast and one evening meal. On the first night we ate at Simon Pearce's Restaurant, it was outstanding. Two things I will comment on. Some of us like to read before retiring. The light in some of the bedrooms was not the best for this. Also, we never know what the coffee situation will be like when we rent a place such as this. There was a coffee pot there, but we forgot to bring coffee. Could I recommend a keurig? We have found that several places are now providing them. It would be easy and if it is advertised, renters could just be sure to bring their on k cups. We ended up just going to a dunkin' donuts for coffee. Overall wonderful weekend.
Great location nearby Queeche Gorge and Woodstock. Spacious house with everything we needed and a great yard for the kids to play sports while to adults relaxed inside. Loved the long table for a family dinner, comfy couches for a rest in the afternoon sun, and the bedrooms accommodated all our guests. Great view of hot air ballons from teh breakfast table. what a beautiful sight. Will definitely go back again and again. Great response for owner.
Fantastic family get away! Several members of my family met at this wonderful home. My children (ages 5 and 8) had a great time watching the hot air balloons as we drove into the driveway and then through the dining room window all through the weekend. The house was perfect - spacious (allowing for the children to play in one room while the adults were in another), clean and fully equipped. The chairs on the deck allowed us to enjoy a relaxing view while the kids took a hike in the backyard woods.
We will definitely go back again!
nice house but could really need a good cleaning! has easy acces from Quechee down town. the problem we had was that they sent us the wrong door key, could not reach them and had to rent a hotel room the first nite because could not get in the house. they did refund us the one nite that we could not get in but would not do anything about helping with the hotel bill. would I stay there again? probably not..
We fit 5 families (with kids ranging in age from 10 months to 11 years old) into this house comfortably and had a wonderful, comfortable weekend all together. Each family had their own bedroom. Some of the kids camped out in the TV/game room. The house had all the amenities we needed plus a big backyard for the kids to play frisbee, Red Rover, catch, etc. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck in the backyard. There was a washer and dryer in the basement for throwing in wet towels. The house was in a good location but also felt private. We spent a morning in Hanover, an afternoon swimming in the Quechee Gorge swimming hole and another day at the Quechee Club's outdoor pool. It was great to have access to that Club for added entertainment possibilities. The owners were very responsive, friendly and easy to deal with when making arrangements. This house is not fancy but clean and well-stocked. We would definitely go back to this house.
Our house is one half mile up the road from Main Street in Quechee. Simon Pearce Glass Factory is a short walk away. You will have access to the amenities of the Quechee Club. There is fine dining, a championship golf course, swimming(indoor/outdoor) fitness center, and ski hill.
