This beautiful, comfortable A-frame on Lake Norman is ideal for a relaxed and enjoyable family vacation. The den is large with very comfy leather furniture just right for napping or cuddling. The well equipped kitchen has granite counter tops and ice in the door refrigerator. It is located in the heart of the home, so the cook doesn't sacrifice time with family and friends. However, if cooking is not your idea of vacation time well spent, there are many nice restaurants in the area.
Outside, the lakefront upper deck is 500 square feet and has seated dining for 6 as well as a gas grill and additional seating for soaking up the sun. The equally large patio under the deck features, an additional table with seating for 4, and a comfortable seating area for shade lovers.
Step down to the water with the little ones and catch some bream, catfish and bass- or go swimming from the large floating dock! The waters of Lake Norman are clean and at a comfortable swimming temperature from Memorial Day until mid-September. We have personally enjoyed swimming as late as mid-October. While you're there, put the canoe or one of the kayaks in the water and go exploring the quiet coves and watch the wild life. There are Osprey, Blue Heron and Egret in abundance, and the occasional Golden Eagle can be seen.
If the weather is cold and yucky, just curl up in front of the fireplace and watch a movie on the 50' flat screen television. Just relax and enjoy!
We regret that we cannot allow groups of more than 10 at any time. No parties or events are permitted at this house. Absolutely no pets or smoking at any time.

We are a clergy couple in the Western NC conference of the United Methodist Church and are currently serving in Mooresville, NC . We love our Lake Norman home and all the activities that go along with it! We love to boat, swim, fish and just relax and enjoy.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
While we were serving in Charlotte, we desired a quiet place to be able to get away from the demands of ministry and we so we purchased the lot in 2003. In 2008, we built this home to live in as long as we were in the area, but also as a retirement home. We have accepted an appointment in a new community, so now we are renting our home to others who, hopefully, will love and enjoy it as we do.
We are avid boaters while at Lake Norman, and not just during the summer season. While swimming, water skiing and tubing are great, we have found that the autumn leaves are as beautiful along the lake shore as they are in the mountains. We enjoy dressing for the weather and cruising slowly while admiring the bright colors of fall. Winter is the prime time to catch striped bass, and that is one of Rick's favorite activities.
Nascar fans, this is the place for you! Just a short drive to many of the race shops, 45 minutes from Lowes Motor Speedway. The new and exciting Nascar Hall of Fame is 20 miles away in downtown Charlotte just around the corner from Carolina Panthers Stadium and Charlotte Bobcats arena. The Lazy 5 Ranch (a drive through wild animal park with horse drawn wagon rides available!) is about 30 minutes away between Mooresville and Salisbury and is a wonderful family outing. There are several NC Wineries in the region within a reasonable drive, and most offer tours as well as tastings. The Mint Museum in Charlotte and the Levine Museum of the New South are wonderful outings for adults. Both are located in downtown Charlotte. Check out the website for the Blumenthal Theatre in Charlotte if you enjoy live theatre. Many famous broadway productions are presented at this sumptuous downtown theatre. So much to do, and on the lake too!
