Clean, remodeled, and great owners. Great place to stay. 1 mile walk to beach or ride owners bikes. Highly recommend.

My family and I (8 people total) stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and were very pleased with the place, the location, and with Monica. We needed to make mashed potatoes to bring to a family potluck, and Monica was kind enough to provide a pot and hand blender so that we could make the potatoes.

The upstairs rooms are more appointed and warmer than the downstairs room (mine), but overall everyone was happy with their room and loved the common rooms. There are plenty of linens and towels for everyone, and the fireplace was a nice touch.

We were traveling to California for my Dad's 77th Birthday and needed to find a location that could accommodate a family gathering as well as providing a place to stay for family members coming from out of town. We also needed a place that was handicap accessible as my father is in a wheelchair.

PROS:
* The house is accurately depicted in the photographs - it is very well decorated and comfortable. Everyone loved the layout and how much room there was to hang out.
* The amenities were appreciated - The TV in the living room was very modern and the wi-fi was stable and secure. The boogie boards and beach chairs were great to have. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows.
* The neighborhood is very nice and the convenience of having a grocery store and shopping center across the street was amazing.
* Proximity to the beach is convenient and made for very pleasant weather.
* The back patio and barbecue were really nice to have on-site. The barbecue functioned very well and the furniture outside was clean and comfortable.


CONS:
* The house is not 100% Accessible.
- There is a step to get into the house from the front door, so the wheelchair will either need to be lifted in or the person will need to get up and walk in. Thankfully, my dad can manage 1 step, but if it had been just him and my mom, they would have had major issues getting him in and out of the house. The owner did offer to go get a board to create a ramp, but the stability of the solution might have been an issue.
- The house can be a little narrow in areas. To get to the downstairs bedroom requires going through the kitchen and it's a tight squeeze between the refrigerator and the counter to get by.
- The downstairs bathroom is small and the toilet is behind the door, so getting a wheelchair in there and transferring a person from wheelchair to toilet is challenging.

* Parking can be a challenge. The street parking on weekends and evenings is hard to come by. We ended up having to park about 3 blocks away one evening. The garage that is included is very small and having 2 bikes inside made it even smaller. A very small compact car would fit, but my mom's Camry was too large. If you are using the garage, I recommend taking the bikes out and putting them on the back patio to maximize space.

*TVs in the bedrooms - The TVs upstairs are not very modern, so don't expect to watch a lot of TV up there. There is no TV in the downstairs bedroom.
