Lovely 1,600 square foot home on 10,000 acre all sport, award winning fishing lake. Perfect for water skiers and Fishermen.

Home has 4 spacious bedrooms including a master bedroom with romantic 4 poster queen size bed and private master bath. All bedrooms have beautiful and unique antique furnishings. 4th Bedroom also shares laundry facilities. There is a large fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room and sun room. Laundry facilitie includes washer, dryer and laundry tub.

Plenty of spectacular views of Black Lake and the Black Mountain Bluffs can be enjoyed from the outdoor Jacuzzi, the deck or sun room. Home is situated on 100x200 foot lot on a wildlife filled cove. Kayak through the lovely tall grasses and lily pads while a bald eagle soars overhead. Listen to the woodpeckers and loons from the cedar swing or while laying on our hammock beneath the trees.

Cottage is set back from quiet North Black River Road. Property offers a serene, undisturbed and natural setting, far enough from any neighbors to provide privacy at all times. Truly a Nature Lover's Paradise!

Cottage has Central Air Conditioning, ceiling fans in each room, full kitchen including dishwasher, all appliances, cookware, tableware. Laundry facility with washer, dryer, laundry tub. Porta-crib , 2 kayaks, 4 person paddleboat, cedar swings, hammock, dock with space for your boat, charcoal barbeque and fire pit. Dining and groceries are available nearby .

Winter Sports: Snowmobiling, cross country skiing and ice skating can be enjoyed right out our door while Black Mountain Forest Recreation Area, a short 10 minute drive away, has 30 miles of groomed cross country ski trails with skill levels ranging from 'easy' to 'most difficult' with pathways constructed for the traditional diagonal skier and skate-skier alike.

Great Golfing: Local Golf Courses include: Spectacular Reis Jones designed Black Lake UAW Golf Course, rated one of the top 20 public golf courses in the country by Golf Digest is 5 miles away. Cheboygan Golf and Country Club, Mullet Lake Golf Club, Wild Wood Lakes, Indian River Golf Club, Rippling River Golf Club, Mackinaw Club, and Maple Ridge Club are all nearby.

We are 30 minutes from the breathtaking Ocqueoc Falls and Whirlpool. Historic Macinac City is only 40 minutes away. We are 3 miles from Sunnydaze Party Store and Lorenzo's Restaurant - great food including awesome pizza and ribs, full bar. 2 miles away is the Black River Marina. They have wireless internet, big screen TV, hand dipped ice cream, ribs, pizza, burgers and more. Marina also has $5 boat launch and boat rentals. Cheboygan is 20 minutes away with Walmart, Glens grocery and Walgreens. Onaway 15 minutes away has grocery and restaurants.

  • Summer (peak season) $1,500.00 per week. low Season $1,200.00 per week. Early Summer $1,350.00 per week . Late Summer, $1350.00 per week . A $250.00 security deposit is required to hold reservation. One week denotes Saturday-Saturday (7 nights.) Partial weeks are negotiable.
    There is no cleaning charge if home and property are left in clean and tidy condition. If not, a cleaning charge will be deducted from security deposit according to condition at owner's discretion.
  • These rates are dramatically discounted due to end of season. Regular rates will apply in 2011.

Wonderful way to spend week with the Family

We had a wonderful time!!!

Our extended family enjoyed the cottage. My father in law sat on the swing looking over the lake for hours. The kids played and played and played in that beautiful yard.

The hot tub was relaxing, the kitchen was clean and functional and the view from the sun room was spectacular. What a place to have your morning coffee.

The location of the cottage was perfect. We went to the Soo locks one day, went to church at the Shrine of the Cross in the Woods another day, visited some light houses, rented a boat at Black River Marina. Whatever you want to do, it is a short drive away....or just hang out by the lake. It is a wonderful place to hang out with family or friends for a relaxing vacation.
