About The Owner
We are slightly younger than the average retiree to lakeside. In searching for a place where we would eventually retire, we found, visited and fell in love with lakeside in general and Ajijic in particular. Everyone we've met has been very friendly and helpful. The very kind neighbors on our street are quite tolerant of our poor Spanish and have offered to help. The whole vibe in the area is indescribable.
We look forward to the day when we can live here full time!

Why The Owner chose Ajijic
While there are gated communities and other properties in the various lakeside neighborhoods, this was our favorite as we love to sample the local life and live in an authentic Mexican neighborhood.
What makes this house unique
My husband and I love this neighborhood as well as Ajijic village. Our neighbors are very friendly and all look out for one another. There is a mixture of expatriates as well as locals on our street. There are wonderful restaurants, grocery stores, craft shopping and art galleries within walking distance. The weekly market, 'tianguis' is right around the corner! You won't need a car as the bus is a short two block stroll out to the Carreterra, but the home has off-street parking for two vehicles which is a rare find in village living. Movie theatres are a five minute walk to the Bugambilias shopping area and are inexpensive, clean and in English with Spanish subtitles.
