Mantanzas Maison offers a dramatically beautiful home inspired by French Provincial architecture, conveniently located in the very heart of Sonoma County’s world renowned wine country with easy access to the myriad and varied attractions of Healdsburg, Sonoma, Sebastopol, Bodega Bay and only an hour’s drive from San Francisco itself. This distinctive two story home, set at the end of a private drive in a quiet residential neighborhood, and picturesquely situated on one third acre of professionally landcaped lawns and gardens, between Matanzas and Spring Creeks, provides approximately 2200 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a laundry room, an inviting pool with extensive concrete decking and outdoor dining areas. The high peaked rooflines, the stucco exterior, vaulted ceilings, wood windows, wide plank pine floors, hand troweled plaster walls and sunlit rooms all contribute to the unique European ambiance of this charming property.
Our guests enjoy the warm Mediterranean like climate while sitting poolside sipping a glass of their favorite wine and sampling from an abundance of local cheeses, fruits and other delicacies.
Beyond the entry hall area, lies the living room with a gas fireplace and a massive arched top window looking out to the front lawn. The dining room windows look out towards Spring Creek as well as French doors leading to a covered porch with outdoor seating near the pool. The kitchen and nook area offer separate views of the pool, accessible by another set of French doors. There is a conveniently located bathroom with a shower off the hallway and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.
On the second level is the huge (approximately 380 square feet), master bedroom with queen bed, as well as two separate balconies. Additional single beds can be added upon request without interfering with the queen bed configuration. The Master bathroom has two pedestal sinks, large free standing Victorian style tub, separate shower and a toilet room. There is also a large walk-in closet off the master bathroom.
In the morning, you may wish to enjoy your freshly brewed coffee from the master bedroom loggia that overlooks the pool.
There are two additional bedrooms, both with queen size beds, serviced by a full bathroom in close proximity.
Guests may choose from a wide variety of acclaimed restaurants in the surrounding areas such as John Ash, etc. Or relax at home and prepare a meal in our fully equipped, gourmet kitchen.
Nearby Montgomery Village is within a 10 minute walking distance. There you will find boutique shops, Coldwater Creek Spa, salons, fine dining as well as a major chain grocery store, post office and banks for your convenience.
We are centrally located within easy driving distance of San Francisco, (50 Minutes), the rugged Sonoma coast and Russian River beaches. Kayak or water ski on lovely Lake Sonoma, go hot air ballooning, or just enjoy a good book in our garden.
Matanzas Maison provides easy access to all of Sonoma County’s wine appellations, including, Dry Creek, Alexander Valley, Russian River and Sonoma Valley and world class wineries. Kendall Jackson’s architecturally stunning tasting room is only 5 miles away. There are over 300 wineries in Sonoma County. Napa County wineries are about 40 minutes away.

At night take in your favorite television programs on our large flat screen high definition TV.
We sleep 6 comfortably but can accommodate up to eight.
