We had a wonderful stay! You have a gorgeous house and we enjoyed it. We loved that we had no phones or tv for the weekend. It was great just to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin. We will be booking again in the future.
What a wonderful escape from the rest of the world. The cabin was amazing, just perfect. Wwe had a wonderful time eating breakfast on the back porch in the crisp air, having a fire in the fire pit and the view out the wall of windows is beautiful. The water was running too fast to canoe, maybe next time. Oh the claw foot tub was so nice and i so loved the decor and wooden beam details. i have never felt so relaxed and at peace, will definitely be coming back and staying longer next time.
The only challenge is NOT with the cabin or owners, Branford is not the best place to find fresh ingredients. We brought fresh fruits and vegetables from home, but we were not able to find fresh dill, herbs, fish (no luck for us trying to actually fish for food) or citronella candles, so be prepared for a smaller grocery selection when you get there. Of course none of that distracted us from the most wonderful stay.
You could never be disappointed here, it is such an amazing retreat from the world. i could live here year round.
I would definitely recommend this cabin to a family member or friend. The listing was accurate concerning the amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is an outdoor grill that we cooked on both nights we were there. The master bedroom is located in the loft area of the cabin and it has a spectacular view of the Suwannee River and many towering trees. Near the cabin is the Ichetuckneee State Park. We did some hiking in the park and had a very close encounter with a beautiful and graceful Florida Manatee. She came so close, I could almost touch her. While driving around the area, we found a local merchant who was selling fresh shrimp and scallops. We bought some and they were delicious. We forgot about all the day to day pressures at the cabin, enjoyed the nature, and slept great!!! It was a most relaxing and enjoyable time.
It was one of the most relaxing, nostalgic, peaceful, charming places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It's definitely going to be a place we will frequent to get away from reality (job, kids, etc). We absolutely loved it, and were sad we had to leave. In fact, I just told my other half today that I miss it. Anyone who can appreciate nature and beauty, will definitely want to stay here....trust me!!!
This is such a wonderful getaway for anybody who is a nature lover like me. The river is beautiful and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoe immensely. Nearby attractions are easy to get to and my sons and I had a wonderful time together and made many memories. The cabin is very clean and neat and furnished very comfortably and charmingly. Being a " foodie" I also appreciated the well equipped kitchen. I will definitely will want to return to this cozy hideaway at my first opportunity... It's even better than the pictures made it look!
The cabin was more than expected. It reminded my wife of the cottages in Canada. We enjoyed the cabin immensely and wished we did not have to leave. Well definitely stay at the cabin again.
This cabin is just....... amazing. My daughters, husband, and I loved it. Out of all the cabins we have ever been to, this has been the best one. The cabin is beautifully designed and was like a home away from home!! We went in the fall, so the temperature was just perfect. We loved how it was in a forest, it was quiet and peaceful. My daughters loved the tire swing very much. The river was perfect and beautiful. We went canoeing and loved it. The cabin was very well maintained and clean. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves nature and cozy cabins!!
