Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful stay! You have a gorgeous house and we enjoyed it. We loved that we had no phones or tv for the weekend. It was great just to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin. We will be booking again in the future.

Beautiful and serene setting.

  • 5 of 5

We just got home and can't wait to go back! The setting is spectacular and the cabin is perfect. It was clean and any and everything we needed was available for our use. I haven't seen fireflies since I was a child, but every night the woods were full of them - absolutely an enchanting place.

Just perfect!

What a wonderful escape from the rest of the world. The cabin was amazing, just perfect. Wwe had a wonderful time eating breakfast on the back porch in the crisp air, having a fire in the fire pit and the view out the wall of windows is beautiful. The water was running too fast to canoe, maybe next time. Oh the claw foot tub was so nice and i so loved the decor and wooden beam details. i have never felt so relaxed and at peace, will definitely be coming back and staying longer next time.

The only challenge is NOT with the cabin or owners, Branford is not the best place to find fresh ingredients. We brought fresh fruits and vegetables from home, but we were not able to find fresh dill, herbs, fish (no luck for us trying to actually fish for food) or citronella candles, so be prepared for a smaller grocery selection when you get there. Of course none of that distracted us from the most wonderful stay.

You could never be disappointed here, it is such an amazing retreat from the world. i could live here year round.

Caught lots of peace and quiet and catfish!!!

I would definitely recommend this cabin to a family member or friend. The listing was accurate concerning the amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is an outdoor grill that we cooked on both nights we were there. The master bedroom is located in the loft area of the cabin and it has a spectacular view of the Suwannee River and many towering trees. Near the cabin is the Ichetuckneee State Park. We did some hiking in the park and had a very close encounter with a beautiful and graceful Florida Manatee. She came so close, I could almost touch her. While driving around the area, we found a local merchant who was selling fresh shrimp and scallops. We bought some and they were delicious. We forgot about all the day to day pressures at the cabin, enjoyed the nature, and slept great!!! It was a most relaxing and enjoyable time.

MY NEW FAVORITE GETAWAY!!!!

  • 5 of 5

It was one of the most relaxing, nostalgic, peaceful, charming places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It's definitely going to be a place we will frequent to get away from reality (job, kids, etc). We absolutely loved it, and were sad we had to leave. In fact, I just told my other half today that I miss it. Anyone who can appreciate nature and beauty, will definitely want to stay here....trust me!!!
