Great Oceanfront Views

It is everything advertised and more. There is a spectacular view of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom and balcony as well as the living room and covered balcony. Both have ample seating. It is beautifully decorated with a variety of artwork. It is exceptionally clean and well equipped, even for a large group. A few small, plastic dishes for the little ones was the only thing I missed. The kitchen is updated and has quality cookware, a nice change! The 3 bedrooms were beautiful, roomy and like the rest of the condo, spotless. 2 1/2 baths are great and 2 tub/shower combos met everyone's needs. The tub in the master bedroom is a whirlpool tub, great for relaxing after playing with the little ones all day. TV's in all the bedrooms & living room give everyone a chance to watch what they want. There is also a nice selection of dvd's, games and books available. A sweeper that actually works was great, along with other cleaning supplies and the large washer and dryer. There was ample storage space for clothing & groceries in the condo and personal beach item were easily accessible in the ground-floor storage closet. Some beach chairs would be great, but you can rent some locally if you can't bring your own. The elevator, though slow, made transporting belongings easy, plus there were carts by the elevator to make it easy to get from the car to the condo. Parking was never a problem, some covered parking is available, plus there is a large lot around the pool. The pool was clean and well maintained and never crowded. It also has charcoal grills available. If you go, be sure to visit the museum on the island, check early to see what activities are scheduled. There is a museum, planetarium and state aquarium within a few miles. You can also take a sightseeing flight, parasail or boat ride/ fishing tour at a reasonable fee. Some shopping is available on the island, but if you want more, larger shopping centers are about 35 miles away. Local dining establishments provide great food at a reasonable price. This is a great place for family vacations if you like peace and quiet, shell-seeking and swimming. I recommend it for couples, families with children of all ages or those who have older family members or someone who required handicapped access.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review of our condo. In response to your comments we will add some plastic dishes for children soon and before the 2011 rental season we will purchase several beach chairs for use by our guests.
