A 10 minute walk along the beach will take you to the village of La Cruz where you can buy fresh fish from the local fishermen or charter a boat for snorkeling, deep sea or bay fishing, or, just cruising the bay to see the sights.
The City of Puerto Vallarta is a quick 18 miles to the south via the new 4 lane highway #200.
