Manistee Vacation Rental condo

The place is beautiful, and is backing to the marina and is a short walk to the beach. I thought it was overpriced for the accommodations and the quality of the furnishings and things inside. We like to cook our own breakfast and lunches, and the pans and pots were dollar store quality. Food stuck to the bottom and one of the pans handle came undone while making pancakes. The fridge was not clean when we arrived, but the rest of the place was fine. We did not have enough cupboard space for our pantry food, so had to leave on the counter.
The pool facilities were very nice for the kids, because they enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool both. The indoor jacuzzi was too hot and children and old people could not use safely. The maintenance lady insisted that it had to be above 101 degrees even if we asked her to turn it down. The outside jacuzzi was out of order for the 3 of the 7 days that we were there. We expected to have wireless internet for such a new community but it was only available to the members ( owners).
It is a quiet place if you want to rest. We did like the closeness to the beach where we viewed beautiful sunsets, and the Tuscan Grille in town is great for gourmet pizza. We also could walk to the art fair in the park and took longer walks into town (aprox 20min one way). Manistee had a carnival, fireworks and a parade for the 4th which the children enjoyed very much. Overall I would give it a 7 our of 10.
