Want something different, away from the crowds, but not too far from everything? Our place is for you! (We call it a lodge, but you will not be sharing the house with other guests.) Diamond K Lodge is a unique, 2400 sq.ft, modern home, reminiscent of an old country farmhouse with sprawling porches & pine floors. Located on a 220 acre working cattle farm in the Nathan area. Relax on the porches, which run the length of the house front & back, enjoy the swing or rocking chairs, watch cattle & horses grazing in the pastures & catch glimpses of deer that visit almost daily. After a day of diamond hunting at Crater of Diamonds State Park or water activities on the lake or river, return to a quiet, peaceful setting. The lodge is a private home with rustic exterior & surprising interior. All rooms are spacious & designed with your total comfort in mind. Bedrooms are the master 'Blue Bayou' room in cool blues with queen bed, ensuite bath & walk-in closet, the second master with another queen bed, the 'Olde West' room with antique furniture & western theme with full bed, & the bunkhouse twin BR. The house has an open floor plan. The LR, large kitchen & den divide the house with 2 bedrooms & a bath on each side providing privacy for 2 families if needed. New oak cabinets in kitchen were crafted from trees right here on the farm.

Owners home & a small cabin are the only other ones on the property & are a good distance away.

About Jane Kizzia

Jerry Kizzia is a long time cattle rancher who has resided on Diamond K Farm most of his life. His wife, Jane, is retired from state employment & now enjoys taking care of the lodge. Both are lifelong residents of the Murfreesboro area.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Come to our place in the country, and you will find that the air is fresher, the stars are brighter, & there's no place prettier on a moonlit night. If you are a city dweller, you will experience a whole different way of life here. You might just like it! We sure do. Elsewhere on the farm we have a poultry house (laying hen operation) that you might enjoy touring with your children . We have covered parking for 2 vehicles & space for your recreational vehicles, boat, etc. No loud partying or unscheduled guests. Failure to adhere to this could result in eviction without refund.

Awesome Vacation Home!!

Loved, loved, loved everything about this house, location and home owners!! Perfect house for a 2 family spring break vacation spot! Our girls (ages 9, 8 and 4) absolutly loved this house as did the grown ups! The home is very warm and inviting. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy yourself. Jerry gave a tour of the chicken house...awesome!! The fresh eggs were a treat and experience for the girls. They were in awe of how tastey fresh eggs are! We loved the fig perserves...wish I had some at home!! My husband and I really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching and listening to the purple martins. If we ever go back to Murfreesboro we will stay here again!! Thank you so much Jane and Jerry for opening your home!

Wonderful Place

My husband and I spent five relaxing nights at this wonderful place. The house is very welcoming....beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home. We especially loved sitting in the rockers on front and back porches. We were treated to fresh eggs, sausage, and homemade fig preserves. I would highly recommend staying at the Diamond K Lodge!! We plan to return soon for another stay.

Beautiful relaxing place to stay!

My husband I stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights and we truly enjoyed our visit. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need. We have rented several houses thru VRBO in the past and there seems to always be something you need to go and buy such as a skillet or cookie sheet and this place had everything we needed. We truly loved the porches. Each morning we sat on the front porch and enjoyed the porch swing and rocking chairs and in the evening we sat in the rocking chairs and enjoyed watching the cows and horses. It was truly beautiful! We enjoyed our visits with Jerry and he brought us sausage and preserves to go along with the farm fresh eggs that were waiting for us in the refrigerator when we got there. The house and the farm are a little piece of heaven. While we were there we visited Lake Greeson that is not too far away and had a picnic and watched as they released water from the Dam. That was a treat to watch the water rise in the stream and see the folks start their journey in their kayaks. Another day we went to Lake Catherine that is outside of Hot Springs and enjoyed a hike and picnic. Thank you Jerry and Jane!

Do yourself a favor, stop reading reviews and book this place NOW! What a fantastic place to stay. The house is almost as charming as the owners. We were treated to a tour of the farm along with freshly made preserves, sausage and eggs laid earlier the same day. This is an outstanding house at a ridiculously low price. We had four people in our party and for the cost of one bedroom in a B & B in town we had an entire house! Easy to find and a short distance to Murfreesboro, we believe you will find this property as we did, a true home away from home.

A MUST VACATION SPOT

Our stay at the ranch was an experience we will never forget. The property was clean, well maintained, and everything and more that the owners described.
Meeting "Farmer Jerry" was somenthing unforgetable. From his stories, to his farm fresh eggs, sausage, and home made fig jam. Showing us around his working chicken operation, to meeting his beef cattle and horses.
We both found ourselves sitting on the back porch just in aw of the nature around us.
You are out in the middle of no where so to speak, and it gets dark at night, but it is an experience like non other.
I would highly recomend this property.
