Just returned from a week at this house with 4 friends for Keys fishing. Pool and hot tub were pristine and heated and waiting for our arrival, and the house itself was great - clean and well-maintained with top notch electronics and TV. Although the beds in the shared bedroom were a little tired, they weren't uncomfortable, and overall the house was perfect for our needs.
Perhaps the best aspect of renting from Adam and Clare for our purposes was the ability to rent a boat from them, too, and have it waiting at the dock. We rented a 25 foot Whaler and had room to spare. The boat was well-used but sturdy and very sea-worthy. It had the best GPS/bottom finder combo we've ever had on a rental boat (Garmin 1020C, I believe), and dialing in reef locations was a breeze. The last day there we had some engine trouble, but called Adam on the cell and he towed out a replacement boat (they have about 9, I think) and we were fishing again within 30 minutes.
I've seen some goofy reviews of this house elsewhere and I don't believe they are legitimate, as none of the complaints were borne out
by our experience.
BTW, the Manatee Lagoon name isn't just poetic - our neighbors' kids swam with 4 sweet, gentle manatees just off our dock one afternoon.
Kayaks were fun, too.
