LUXURIOUS HISTORIC ADOBE IN THE HEART OF MARFA

My wife and I travel quite frequently and I have to say that this was one of the best traveling experiences that we've ever had. I've wanted to visit Marfa for some time now and finally had the opportunity to do so. While the city of Marfa itself wasn't the sparkling Emerald City that everyone makes it out to be, this house definitely made the trip.
To start, this is a house so you have neighbors. The good thing here was that the neighbors were kind and kept to themselves. The house itself is almost centrally located so there was absolutely no problem strolling into town from where we stayed. The place was spotless and organized. Clean, crisp linens were already in place when we arrived. The night was cool during our stay so we were able to utilize the wonderful fireplace and enjoy a movie. The master bath was a blessing to come home to after a day of walking around.

While there were only two of us, this house could have easily and comfortably accommodated 4 people. Overall, the home was very inviting and I actually regret not staying longer.

When we come back to Marfa, we'll definitely be making our stay at this house again.

Three friends and I recently spent the weekend in Marfa and we loved staying in this house. It easily accommodated the 4 of us and was so well equipped that we weren't wanting for anything. The housekeeper was super friendly and is an expert on all things Marfa. We communicated mostly with the owner's nephew and he was super friendly as well (guess everyone in Texas is super friendly!) and very helpful. All our communication about the rental was very easy and quick. One of the nicest things about this house is the big porch that wraps around one corner. It was great to spend time in the late afternoon there reading a book, drinking a beer, or just hanging out. The house is within easy walking distance of Marfa. There are games, books, and a good supply of DVDs including "Giant" and "There will be Blood," both of which were filmed in and around Marfa. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We just stayed in this beautiful house for New Year's Eve. What a perfect spot! It lived up to expectations and more. When we arrived the fireplace was on warming the house plus anything you could possibly need was available. There were books and brochures about Marfa and local attractions. It is perfectly located to allow you to walk to just about anywhere. A wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone!
