24 miles south of Hilo and neighbor to the currently erupting volcano that is home to Pele, the goddess of the volcano. A site second to none! Located to take in the sites of Hilo Town to the north or drive around southern most tip of the US and head north to Kona on the West side of island. Either way you go, there are many stops along the way and sites along the way. Kahena's black sand beach is surrounded by swaying palms and is the #1 beach for dolphin and turtle encounters. Whales have been seen too! This beautiful oceanfront beach home affords the comfort of a 2 BR, 1 BA home decorated island style. You will be awe struck by the view of the ocean from most all rooms of the house. The sounds of the ocean will rock you to sleep at night and wash away your cares by day. This location is a private hideaway and great place to rejuvenate the soul.

This area is the Near Volcano National Park, home of the Hawaiian Goddess, Pele. It is lush with foliage and tropical fauna. There are botanical gardens, parks, ponds and other water activities. The area is lush in culture and friendly in aloha. There is always activity in Hawaii. We are waterfront, a walking distance to the beautiful black sand beaches of Kehena. This inlet of Pacific Ocean is the most known for it's dolphin encounters in the their natural habitat, in all the Big Island. The area is private and a true taste of Hawaii.
