For a shopping adventure, check out LLBean and the outlets in Freeport, which is 40 minutes away. An hour away, you can sample the cuisines of historic Old Port in Portland.
Closer by, visit the famous Maine Maritime Museum next to the shipyard, attend a concert or music theatre, enjoy the scenic train to the Farnsworth in Rockland, charter a fishing boat, or visit dozens of studios, galleries and antique shops.
Right here on Georgetown Island buy lobster off the boat at the wharf in Five Islands, watch artisans at Georgetown Pottery, explore the beaches of Reid State Park, or enjoy meals from pizza to lobster or even superb dining.
