Take a trip back in time! Come to paradise at Holden Beach! This beach has been rated as one of the top family beaches by AAA and National Geographic Smart Traveler Magazine. There are no hotels, no high rise complexes-just family cottages-many of which have been in the same family for generations. You will not want to leave once you get here and realize that life is enjoyed again as you soak up the sun and forget the clock. Take a beach chair to the sand and let the water run up on your feet as you lose yourself in that novel you've been trying to read. Help the kids build sandcastles and play in the sand. Take a leisurely walk to the ends of the island and let the surf splash at your feet on miles of white sandy beach-no rocks! There is also a swimming pool oceanside for the complex(20 units). Wake up and have your coffee outside while breathing in the sea air!

Sit on the oceanfront deck and enjoy that drink as you watch the sunset and wind down for another day. Ponder which great restaurant you will aim for each evening. For a change of pace, check out the opposite balcony and watch the boats on the canal as they head toward the inland waterway. Take a brief walk to the pier for another view or to try your hand at fishing. There are deep sea charters available. For a treat, learn about the loggerhead turtle nesting program. About JANICE JESSEE

We live on Holden Beach with our dog, Bentley, and love every minute of it! I have always dreamed of living by the ocean. My husband and I even spent our honeymoon here! Although we are not retired, it is still worth it.

Why JANICE JESSEE chose Holden Beach

I came to Holden Beach as a child for the first time and wanted my son to experience it so we started vacationing here in 1996 and in 2003 we decided to buy our own place. We loved the place so much, my husband and I spent our honeymoon here in 2002. In 2008 we moved here and are now permanent residents of the island.

What makes this condo unique

What more can you want than an ocean out your front door? The sand and the surf, the solitude in the off season, the sunsets, long walks on the beach, the search for sea biscuits are just part of the daily routine. We love it!

Wonderful Time!

My husband and our 12 yr. old son, had a wonderful time here at Holden Beach. This beautiful condo was perfect for us. It was comfortable and spotless. There were many things to do in the area. There were many fine restaurants and gift shops. We drove to Calabash NC, about 30 minutes south, to ride on a 90 ft. fishing boat to deep sea fish and to dolphin watch. We caught many sea bass and saw many dolphins swimming around a shrimp boat. We attended a sunrise service Easter morning which was very memorable as well.
