This charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath, cottage is located on a family-owned waterfront estate that is one of the oldest properties on Nassau Point. The cottage was built in the early 1920s. The 13+ acre property is quiet and secluded, and includes over 1000 feet of private beach; a bathhouse at the beach with changing rooms, showers, and a large porch; and a private clay tennis court. The cottage is one level, with a large living room opening onto a brick patio with a view of Peconic Bay and Robbins Island. There is a large, airy master bedroom with a queen bed and an adjacent master bathroom with walk-in shower, and two additional bedrooms, each with twin beds, and another full bathroom with a bathtub/shower. The large living room is furnished with comfortable wicker furniture in front of a wood burning fireplace, and a table and benches for indoor dining. A picnic table and benches are on the patio for outdoor dining.
All linens are included, including beach towels, and the kitchen is well stocked. Two of the changing rooms at the bathhouse are for the cottage occupants’ use, as are beach chairs and children’s’ beach toys that are stored there. There is plenty of room to store your own toys too (e.g., bikes, kayaks, sunfish). There is a large, open-air porch at the bathhouse with a couch and benches, and that is perfect for napping, picnicking, and watching the sunset. The tennis court is red clay, and is “tuned up” monthly. Nearby farm stands abound in fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish is available at the fish markets, and the renowned North Fork wineries are minutes away. This is simple living at its finest.
