Loved the location, cleanliness, layout and tucked-away serenity of this apartment. Pascal was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. A real pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!
My family (2 adults, 2 children) just returned from a 9 night stay at this apartment. I have rented many times through vrbo in many different locations and this was one of our best experiences by far.
(1). Dealing with the owner: Pascal, who manages the apartment, is wonderful to work with. He responded to all my emails promptly and met us at the apartment when we arrived. He accepted credit card payment, and we paid the last half of the rental amount upon arrival, after having looked at the place. He also arranged a taxi to pick us up from the apartment and take us to the airport on our last day. He is extremely responsible, attentive and trustworthy. Dealing with him was a pleasure.
(2). The apartment: I was prepared for the apartment to be small by US standards, so I was pleasantly surprised when we got there to find it very spacious for the four of us. The apartment has plenty of windows that provide great natural light. I really appreciated the comfortable beds, the curtains (so often we stay at places where the curtains do a poor job of blocking out the morning light--not the case here), the large dining table, ample hot water for the shower, the plentiful towels and the washer/dryer. We also used the kitchen quite a bit, and found it well equipped and easy to use. Everything was well maintained and clean. The apartment was also very quiet at night, despite being so centrally located.
(3). The location: The location is hard to beat. Very close to groceries (small and large markets), an excellent traiteur for roast chicken, a Monoprix, bakeries, and metro. We enjoyed walking around the Marais and also found a couple of playgrounds my kids enjoyed. Best of all, we loved being able to walk to so many of Paris' attractions and returning at the end of the day to our own apartment in the city.
If we are lucky enough to find ourselves in Paris again, I will definitely contact Pascal and hope this apartment is available. It was perfect for our needs.
