If a spectacular waterfront property within walking distance to town that has great views of boat traffic coming and going from South Haven and easy access to one of South Haven's greatest beaches is what you are looking for.... You found it! The home, the Captain's Bliss, is one of only eight homes overlooking the South Haven channel and lighthouse. It has a terrific deck, perfect for boat watching, new central air conditioning, new plumbing and lighting fixtures and floorings, and forced air heating. There is a kitchen/dinette area overlooking the channel, in addition to living room and one BR and 1.5 Baths on the main level, and 2 BR and a full Bath downstairs. This home can sleep 6-8 comfortably. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and one has twin beds. There is also a futon.

Nearest Airport: grand rapids at 45 Miles
Nearest Motorway: I-196 3 exits at 2 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 0.1 Miles
Car: not necessary
From the North... Take I-196 to exit 22 Northshore Drv exit. turn right cross over Blue Star highway and continue along the lake shore, heading south. 1/4 mile past the first stop sign you'll come to turn Right on Avery St(North Beach city sign). Follow avery along the lakeshore as it wraps around through a small group of homes and watch for a city parking lot on the right hand side. The driveway to Captain's Bliss is located by driving through the city lot(all 4 spaces from road to the driveway). There is a sign with the numbers '28' on the telephone pole with an arrow. From the South take 196/31... take Exit 20 'Phoenix st.' turn left and as you enter South Haven turn right at Broadway st.. follow it over the drawbridge to the stop sign at Northshore Drv. Turn left and follow the direction above to Captain's Bliss

Excellent views of the river, lighthouse and the park across the river. Even in October we sat out on the deck and enjoyed the view. Finding the house can be fun but that just reduces the traffic and it is still just a short walk to the beach. The extra living room downstairs with the TV is very nice for those with children who can then have their own area. We are returning next summer.

We had a wonderful time due to the fantastic location of this home. The deck was the main attraction. We spent hours watching boats go by. We were able to walk to the beach daily and town was so close. We would love to return.
