What a Great Place

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this cabin. My grandson never ran out of things to do, fish to catch, and bike riding, kayaking, and playing with the kid next door. The cabin is rustic and charming. We felt very cozy and relaxed there. The location was perfect for a first time vacation to Maine. It is very central in the area we wanted to explore and as such, even when we went to Castine, it was a quick drive back to the cabin via the backroads. The lake is beautiful and quiet. There are no road noises or ambient light so you can even star gaze. The cabin was neat and clean with a lot of extras such as books and games. My only complaint is I wish I had stayed for the whole summer. It was a wonderful vacation and I would recommend the cabin to anyone who prefers location and simple ammenities over modern conveniences. To make it easy there was a notebook of recommended places to see, where to rent bikes and where to eat. The owners have taken a lot of care to make you visit great. With the owners living locally it was nice to know if I got tripped up on something, I knew I could call them, even though I didn't have any need to call. Should I ever vacation in Maine again I certainly hope this cabin is available.
