Kauhale Makai (Village by the Sea) forth floor condo with fantastic ocean view from bedroom, living room, kitchen, and lanai. Relax on the lanai while watching the palms trees wave in the breeze and the whales and windsurfers dance. The Kauhale Makai Resort includes a sparkling tile pool, Jacuzzi, kiddy pool, putting green, shuffle board, and volleyball court. Our guests are welcome to use the public tennis courts located steps south of Kauhale Makai. There is nothing between the resort and the beach except for a large grassy area sprinkled with palm trees - no road to cross! This beach-side condo is fully equipped. NOW HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS!!! King size bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the second bedroom, Queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. No stairs to climb... handy to the elevator (but not too close), Central Air Conditioning (ask before you rent elsewhere).

The Area:: Walk along the beach to downtown Kihei for shopping and restaurants, or to the Pacific Whale Foundation's outpost for viewing whales in season (Mid December to mid May). Less then ten miles to Kahului Airport. Central to most everything on the island of Maui including all the best beaches. Snorkeling, diving, surfing, windsurfing, swimming, hiking, golf, tennis, kayaking, horseback riding, bicycling, beach combing, just laying around the pool, ... Maui is a vacation wonderland. The Kihei / Wialea area is one of the nicest and most convenient on the island of Maui. Restaurants, markets, shopping, golf, tennis, sports shops, diving, car rentals, ... Everything is there!!!

We enjoyed the Barclays' condo immensely!!! The view is incredible; I saw a whale flapping his tail goodbye to me from the lanai the day that we left. We were comfortable and had so much room. Thanks for the wonderful vacation.
