The leaves on the Quaking Aspens that shade the home give a beautiful shimmering effect all summer long.
The custom-built home has many large windows which bring wonderful bright daylight into the home. There are no close neighboring homes and the back yard has a constant parade of wildlife for viewing - you may see deer, elk, raccoons, otters, eagles, hawks, herons, wild geese and ducks, plus a fascinating assortment of smaller birds. Spring and fall are particularly good a time for bird-watching, as the home site is on a major migration route.
Amenities: The interior furnishings have all been chosen for maximum comfort - thick pillow top mattresses, goose down comforters, cushy sofas, massaging recliner, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide variety of tools and utensils, dishwasher, microwave oven, blender, dishes, serving bowls, and silverware. All paper products, linens and bedding are provided.
Other amenities include: Telephone, big-screen TV, cable service, TV's in each bedroom, stereo system, washer & dryer, gas BBQ, wood stoves with firewood, books, games, videos, a fenced dog run, field glasses for wildlife viewing, and river float tubes.
Activities: No other rental in Central Oregon offers as wide a range of activities right at the home - golf, swim, float the river on tubes, fish in the big backyard pond, walk to the driving range across the road, play arcade games, or just relax on the private shaded rear deck and watch the abundant wildlife! This is so much more than just a place to sleep - the home will be a very memorable part of your vacation.
Area: The home is in the center of Oregon's top outdoor recreation area - within a short drive are many mountain lakes with wonderful fishing, waterfalls, wilderness hiking/biking trails, and float trips on rivers - calm or whitewater! The area is 10 minutes from the Sunriver resort, 20 miles south of Bend, about a 3-hour drive from Portland, 8 hours from San Francisco or Seattle. The spectacular Crater Lake National Park is about an hour's drive to the south. Airport = Redmond (RDM).

Mount Bachelor is awesome and there is something to do for everyone.
