Gorgeous Views and Atmosphere

Our time at Aligarden was magnificent. We arrived at night, so weren't able to see the ocean, but we certainly heard it. But as soon as the sun began to come up the next morning, the view was unbelievable. We had planned our vacation several months ahead of time and we were very excited to finally be there. When we saw the sun rising that first morning and hearing the splashes of the ocean below us, it was like a dream. We couldn't believe we were finally there, and it was better than we could have ever imagined. We excitedly walked around the premises of the house and looked at the well maintained yard and flowers and native fruits and even vegetables (gandules). It was neat to walk around and find little hidden benches to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The neighborhood was quiet at night and during the day. It's so hard to describe the natural beauty the location of this house has to offer. Down the street from Aligarden (to the left) you will find a mixture of humble homes and more glamorous homes, along with a few businesses. There are also homes with a lot of land that have horses and cows. It's so peaceful and calming to drive down the street and see people sitting on the porch or just working in their yards. In the other direction (to the right) you go out to the main highway. There is a really cool tunnel not too far from Aligarden (you need a car). It's called El Tunel de Guajataca. You can actually see it from the gazebo at Aligarden. Make a right at the highway and you'll see signs for it. When you get there, park and follow the path through it. It will be an adventure. Be adventurous and go through each little space and hole and see what hidden treasure you will find at the other side. It is absolutely amazing. There is also a little park right next to Aligarden (walking distance) with great paths that lead to different areas of the beach. Great views and awesome picture opportunities. On the side of the roads, there are also several little portable frituras that sell authentic Puertorican food. Yummy. . . So good!!! We absolutely loved Aligarden and hope to go back again in a few years. If we could go sooner, we would. It is awesome, I can’t say it enough. The views, the relaxation, the sounds of the ocean, the adventurous path to the secluded beach. Oh, and I forgot to mention the neighbor horse that comes over to the empty lot next to Aligarden and munches on the grass. Loved it all!! You won't be sorry!!!!!!!
