Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Beautiful Lake home on 165' of frontage with gorgeous views of the sunrise located on the West Arm. Home has many amenities and updates with newer furnishings. 2300 sqft ranch. Large open living/dining room with wood floors, gas fireplace and wonderful views of the lake. Den has wood floors and is off the living room which closes off for privacy and has a queen size sleeper sofa and a slider to the deck. Fully furnished kitchen with wood floor, granite countertops and newer appliances. Half bath with ceramic floor.

The Laundry room with full size washer and dryer and cork floor. Main bath with oversize ceramic shower and ceramic floor. Spacious Master suite with king bed, built in desk, couch and TV area, walk-in closet and slider to deck. Master bath with double vanity, full size closet, separate area for shower/tub with ceramic floor and tub surround. Second bedroom with 2 full size beds and double closets. Third bedroom with 2 twin beds. Bedrooms and hallway are carpeted. Huge main deck for entertaining and a smaller deck off den and master bedroom for relaxing in the hammock. Generous parking area. Two car garage.

Large dock for sunbathing. Owners furnish a 28' Pontoon for renters. Great location. Home is 5 minutes from Bay Harbor, 10 minutes from Petoskey, 15 minutes from Charlevoix and Boyne City. Once you visit you will not want to leave this peaceful setting.

About The Owner

My significant other and co-owner live in East Lansing, Michigan. We both work full time. He for the US Post Office. I sell Real Estate full time and do Dental Hygiene part time. Our goal is to retire and move to Walloon Lake full time. We have traveled a lot and have not found any place else that we would rather end up

The Owner purchased this cottage in 1997

We visited many lakes in Michigan and this is the most beautiful that we have found.

The positives for the cottage are the beautiful view of the lake from the living area and the pontoon boat. The negative was the smell of mold in the master bedroom area. It was so bad I could not sleep there but had to sleep in one of the other bedrooms. When I told the owner of the problem, I was told the master bedroom area was built at a different time from the rest of the cottage. The master bedroom area was a major disappointment! I would not go back...
Owner's Response: After talking to the renter I was very alarmed and immediately called my cleaning people who had cleaned just previous to the renters arriving to make sure everything was okay. They confirmed that there was no odor. I also called the renter that had vacated that day at noon to make sure that they did not have a problem during the week that they were there and they reassured me that they also had no problem. I feel bad that this renter felt differently.

A Little Slice of Heaven.......

Just returned from a weeks stay at Walloon Lake with my husband and two kids (11 & 14). This was our second year staying at the house - loved it so much last year we had to return again this year! The home is wonderfully located overlooking Walloon Lake - panoramic views from the upper deck and from inside the house too. Loved to sip my coffee in the den and enjoy the view. A few steps down to the private dock which was perfect for watching water skiers, boaters etc., sunbathing and swimming in the beautifully clear lake waters. Rented Kayaks which was fun too. Last year we biked from Petoskey to Harbor Springs on the Little Traverse Wheelway. A short drive takes you into Petoskey, Charlevoix or Harbor Springs with plenty of places to eat and little shops to browse. Everything about the property was a true and accurate reflection of the listing. The owner checked in on arrival & departure too to make sure all was well and was very helpful answering any questions I had prior to our visit. Would highly recommend this property!!

Splendid place to enjoy northern Michigan

My family and I recently returned from a week in this home on Walloon Lake. The house was extremely clean, and the views spectacular. We were very happy with everything. The area was quiet and peaceful. The outside areas were wonderfully laid out with lots of places to stretch out and relax. Water access and swimming was great. Inside, the furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. It is nice to have a location close to town amenities, but it still feels like it is in its own little world too. The owner checked in with us after we arrived in case we had any questions, which was thoughtful. We did have to launder all the sheets and towels before leaving, which is the first time we have ever been asked to do that after many years of renting various places. Overall, highly recommended.
