Located in Long Beach, Indiana, this home, that we call 'BIG BEAR LODGE' is less than a 5-minute walk to beautiful Lake Michigan private beach. Newer Log Home with master bedroom w/king size bed and futon with bath on 1st floor and 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds,3 twin beds and 1 trundle bed) on 2nd floor with bath. We have desk on 1st floor with Broadband Internet access for your lap top computer. We find this very useful for people who must stay in contact with their office. There is also an additional powder room on 1st floor. The kitchen adjoins large dining area with table that will seat 10-12. The great room and open floor plan are great for family gatherings. The 1st floor has an attached screened in porch that leads out to backyard deck equipped with patio furniture, table and gas grill. The 1st floor is approx 1500 sq. ft. There is an attached 4-car garage with a pool table and 10-12 bikes for your use.

You are able to rent boats at Marina in Michigan City or New Buffalo (both 10 minutes away). Amenities: Fireplace, Air Conditioning zoned for each floor, Phone w/answer machine, Security system, Cable Large screen TV, DVD Player (with great selections) VCR, CD Stereo, Computer with High speed Broadband, Fax, Fully equipped Kitchen, Microwave, Compactor, Blenders, Washer and Dryer, Ice maker, Gas BBQ Grill,10-12 bikes,3 sets Golf Clubs, Misc. A Great Place for a Family Gathering

There was plenty of room for all 9 of us and enough toys and nearby activities to keep the kids--ages 1 1/2, 3 1/2 and 8, happily occupied. We picked blue berrieis, played on the beach, visited local playgrounds and the farmers market, and best of all, hung out together at Big Bear. The well-supplied kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to cook family meals and there was room for all at the big diningroom table. The kids had lots of indoor room to play inside the one day it rained. Bob was easy to work reach, cooperative, and prompt at returning both my e-mails and damage deposit check.

Me and my friends spend New Years Eve at the Big Bear Lodge. We had a lot of fun!The house it's very spacious and looks better then the pictures! A lot of fun stuff to do, pool table, nice cozy fireplace. Would love to go there again! Thanks Bob :)))

My Girlfriends and I stayed at the Big Bear Lodge this past November and were quite impressed with the spacious bedrooms and wonderful gathering place in family room and kitchen. Bob was great to deal with and would stay again.

Four sisters rented this wonderful house for a long weekend. We had planned on eating out, but since we were having too much fun, we cooked most meals in; the kitchen is so spacious, the four of us weren't crowded! The dining room table was the perfect spot to play cards, games and just laugh for three days. As the temps dipped into the 30's the fireplace was the cherry on the sundae. We will be back.

What a wonderful place for a family reunion! From the beautiful beach to spacious comfort of the house, Big Bear Lodge was exactly what we wanted for our getaway. The large, open-area on the main floor was great for gathering before, during, and after meal-time (the fireplace is great!), while the front and back porches provided outdoor entertainment while we were away from the beach.

In addition, the vast assortment of bicycles were greatly enjoyed by all.
