Family Friendly Paradise

I grew up in Harwich, but my mom recently sold her house so this was our first experience with a rental and it EXCEEDED any expectations we had. Everything you could want and so much more. Our kids loved the fish pond and hammock, we loved the openness of the kitchen and screened-in porch, and we all loved the outdoor shower! I can't imagine a better rental house and we hope to come back with friends and have them rent across the street! Thanks for everything Jen and Tom.

Wonderful Week

Spent eight wonderful daysform the end of May through the first wek in June. I have been visiting Harwich for many years, and this was by far the nicest accomadations yet! The Huckmans are wonderful hosts, and go out of there way to make sure your stay is perfect. The first half we spent with my daughter, her husband our 3 year old Grandaughter,. The fish pond was a great hit as was running around the landscaped yard! The beach is close, and if the weather is bad, there are plenty of other things for a young family to do. Especially Rum Raisan at Schoolhouse Ice Cream, and the outdoor shower The second half was just two of us on a romantic getaway! The bike path is nearby, and I was able to bring my boat up and dock at Saquatucket and store the trailer in the driveway. Long walks, golf, great restaurants, and lots of quiet time alone. We will all be back!

A Beautiful Cottage With Everything You Need

The cottage is in excellent condition and was very clean. The setting, among the trees, is very private, yet the location is very convenient, close to beaches and grocery store. There was plenty of space for our family of 5.

The owners' promptness, friendliness and attention to detail, right from our first enquiry, was phenomenal, from answering our questions, to providing visitor information, to the welcoming coffee, cranberry bread and fruit when we arrived.

We really appreciated that the cottage is so well equipped with bathroom and bedroom linens, beach chairs and umbrella, as well as necessities such as toilet paper, laundry and diswasher detergent, cleaning supplies, coffee filters, sugar, basic spices and more. This allowed us to travel much more lightly that would otherwise have been possible.

We recommend this property and would definitely return.

A Perfect Weekend With Even Better Accommodations

Camille and I stayed at the Sea Chalet this Memorial Day and our stay could not have been more enjoyable. Notwithstanding the aesthetic beauty of the property - with the lovely fish pond and colorful landscaping - the Sea Chalet was clean, modern and cozy.

The location was perfect. The beach is 5 minutes away and three ponds are within 10 minutes. Harwich center with pizza, a supermarket and a movie theater are within 4 minutes. Brewster, which is where I used to summer, is a short car ride away - more beaches, restaurants and go-carts!!! Although we did not bring our bikes, we should have; the bike path is literally a stone through the house.

All in all - I'm coming back back next year. Thanks for a perfect weekend.

Fantastic place

My husband, my mother and I stayed here in Sept 2007.
My mother and I fell in love with this place the year before when we were looking for a new rental to return to every year.
This house is built with the idea of making you feel you are outside. Plenty of windows to let light in. Screened in back deck, so you can always have fresh air. The kitchen has all you could need and a lot of the spices and staples are already there. All paper products are supplied as are sheets and towels, which is a huge help.
It was very clean when we arrived with frest cut flowers on the table and soft drinks in the fridge and a cranberry loaf made by the owner. There are just so many little special things the owners do to make you welcome.
You get to feed the fish in the koi pond, food is supplied.
There's a market very close by and various other stores.
Needless to say my mom and I no longer have to look for a place to stay every year. Our reservation for next year is already in.
I would whole heartedly recommend this place for a stay
