We are excited to share our home with vacationers that would like to take advantage of beautiful Sausalito. We found ourselves with more space than we need and have made our downstairs unit private so that renters can experience their vacation on their own. We have lived in Sausalito for the past 6 years and love the weather, the community and feel of this town. It is great to be so close to the city and yet so very far away.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
We love Sausalito - it is location that not only our friends and family love to visit, but people who come to the area fall in love. We think our rental unit will just stoke the fires of that love affair as it is peaceful and tranquil with one of the most amazing views in the area.
The property does have a washer and dryer onsite if needed - basic pantry items are included as we offer a full kitchen, dining room and deck that is perfect for entertaining or enjoying a fantastic home cooked meal. There are also fantastic restaurant options in the area for your dining enjoyment. We love how convenient it is to popular sightseeing trips as well as physical activities of hiking, biking, and kayaking.
Wonderful week in Sausalito/San Fran. The rental was amazing in location, view, and amenities. We wanted for nothing. The bed was so comfy we slept like babies every night. We loved the fireplace and used it often. The location to town and the ferry is the best. A great walk either way. Would highly recommend. Thank you Dan. We hope to be back again.
We chose this rental as the base for our San Francisco trip because we didn't want to stay in a generic hotel room, and this place didn't disappoint. It's in a great location if you want peace and quiet after a hectic day, and it's only 10 minutes' walk to the ferry that takes you to the city. The bed's comfy, the kitchen's well equipped (we especially appreciated the fresh coffee beans and grinder), there's a fantastic view from the deck, and overall it's a nice, cosy retreat. It looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The only thing we would have preferred is a bigger couch. We're full on couch potatoes and love a big old couch to curl up on at the end of the day. Other than that, this place is great and we'd definitely recommend it to other travellers. One more thing - be careful reversing out of the parking space. It's really steep and if you've got a low slung car (we rented a mustang), you run the risk of losing your rear bumper if you come out at the wrong angle or too fast. We managed ok, but it took some doing!
My mother and I stayed here for a few days. This rental was everything we expected and more! It was amazing! Both the house and the town are adorable. Everything from the comfortable bed to the well-stocked bathroom and kitchen was done up perfectly. The deck is even larger than the pictures show, with breath-taking views. The owner is so nice and accommodating. He even offered to carry our bags up and down the stairs. The town is cute, it was great to go see the sights of San Francisco and come back to a quiet and relaxing base. There are stairs and a path right from the rental to downtown Sausalito, so it was pretty easy to walk to the ferry. Even though the hill is steep, my 70 year old mother and I were able to make it back up okay with some time and effort. I would highly recommend this rental and would love to come back again!
My husband and I stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary - my husband picked this place and surprised me. The apartment was beyond perfect! Its located in the hills and overlooks the water .. The pictures does it justice. The place was was so clean, cozy but yet very spacious..more than I expected. The owner came by to make sure all was well and that we were happy-- nice touch! We stayed in one night and had the fire on, candles, and the view was amazing. The dimmers in the apartment-- sets the ambiance. We recommend Poggios for a nice romantic dinner out on the town (3 min drive)and the no name bar right next to it. Thank you for your hospitality. We will definitley be recommending your place to friends and family.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here...and we loved it!! The place was very clean, inviting and cozy!! It was everything we wanted!! Thank you Dan for helping make our stay memorable!! We will definately be back!!
What a beautiful view! This property's pictures very accurately depict the view, but it was much more spacious than I had imagined. The deck wraps around to the front door, and was such a nice addition to the apartment. To be clear, it is the bottom floor apartment with the owners living above, and we did hear them walk about a bit, it wasn't a problem. We had some difficulty finding the property, b/c we didn't quite trust our GPS, and the street numbers are a little wacky. The owner responded quickly to our call, and we were able to locate it. The bedroom was much prettier in person, and the bedding was lovely. It is a very steep walk to the town, but worth it, as we walked one day for over three hours, and never got bored. The nights that we went in for dinner, we drove. Molly Stone's grocery store was expensive but amazing. Get the shish kebab from the deli and grill for an inexpensive meal. Then sit on the deck and enjoy a fire! The owner spent a nice time orienting us upon arrival, and even stocked the apartment with wood. You have to have pizza at Bar Bocce, and go to the Happy Hour at Fisherman's Peddler on the water. Great oysters and chowder at great prices. We also went to a recommended coffee shop on the corner near the fire station. Firemen were so helpful!
We didn't rent bikes as it was very crowded with tourists, but we noticed that the town is almost divided into two sections.... the hometown crowds further north (below this house) and the tourists further south on the main drag.
Loved the view.... loved the bed, very nice place!!
