Home away from home

When I first sat down to write this review, selfishness made me want to say every negative thing I could think of so that I could keep "my" cottage to myself. That was short-lived when I realized that I couldn't think of any negatives. Fact is, Bay St. Louis and the Oaks Cottage have become my home away from home. Each time I leave there, I've already begun to plan my next stay. The cottage and it's amenities are perfect for one or two. The location could hardly be better. The owners are good people who know the Bay and surrounding area very well. The town continues to grow and improve post-Katrina, and has a full calendar of events. There are great restaurants, great shops in Old Town, great festivals, and great people. Be sure to visit Cypress Cafe, North Beach Restaurant, and a bakery called Serious Bread. See their beautiful churches, and spend a Second Saturday in Old Town. Shop at Century Hall, and have breakfast at Buttercup. Feed the ducks at the pond by the cottage. Whatever you do, take your time. Relax. And come back soon.

Owner's Response: We always look forward to your visit. It makes us happy to see that you love BSL as much as we do and have become such a great ambassador for both the Oaks Cottage and our town. Hurry back!
