"Ambleside" sits on seven acres of secluded woodland high up in the private community of "Little Bavaria" with Grandfather Mountain posing proudly at the end of the valley.
This beautifully furnished rustic cabin has three bedrooms each with its own private bath. The Master Suite features a king size bed and flat screen HDTV with Direct TV above the gas fireplace, double sink vanity, stall shower and free standing bear claw tub for those who love to sit and soak after a day of vigorous hiking/exploration. Two of the bedrooms have their own private deck where you can sit and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings.
The generous sized eat-in kitchen easily handles a party of six or if you prefer dine in elegance at the oak dining room table. Of course there is always the ample deck with its own table and chairs right next to the gas grill.
There are two wood burning stone fireplaces. One in the Great Room on the main level and one in the family room on the lower level. Perhaps after a strenuous game of pool or darts you would need to relax under the sun or stars in the over sized hot tub on the lower deck. Or if you prefer you can crank up the Air Conditioning, put your feet up and watch your favorite program on the BIG SCREEN TV.
Birds and wildlife abound at "Ambleside". Sit on the secluded deck and take in all that nature has to offer. "Ambleside" leaves very little to be desired at any time of the year.
A newly added feature is a wood burning fire pit with log benches and/or relaxing chairs located just below the remote exterior deck with Adirondack chairs and table.

This was our first trip to the High Country area and we were extremely excited with our choice to stay at Ambleside from day one. The cabin is located only minutes from Boone, Blowing Rock, & Banner Elk, yet it is far enough out to get away from it all. Ambleside's warm decor makes you feel at home from the first time you walk in the door. The furnishings are high quality, plentiful, and the owner's have provided everything imagineable to make for a wonderful experience from the moment you arrive at Ambleside. The unobstructed view of Grandfather Mountain is spectacular and Little Bavaria is just a great little area close to historic Valle Crucis. Ambleside is the kind of place where you can spend seven days without every leaving and be completely satisfied. There are hundreds of cabins to choose from in the High Country area and it can seem a little overwhelming; Ambleside is a choice that will exceed expectaions and is dog friendly.
