Hacienda Real Condo's are a fairly new, beautiful quiet set of condos (24 in total), which is gated and secure, only a five minute walk to the beautiful Santa Cruz Bay where you can enjoy food, drinks, swimming, water sports, and lounging. The majority of Hacienda Real condo owners are Canadians and Americans. The Santa Cruz Marina is also located near the beach where you can book your sports fishing excursions, scuba diving adventure, snorkel, and or a site seeing boat trip. You can book private boat trips for about 6 hours for about

$200.00 (200 pesos) per person (based on 10 people per boat).

Hacienda Real Condo 208 comes fully furnished and ready for your Huatulco vacation getaway. The condo has such amenities as washer/dryer, flat panel TV's with SATELITE TV, DVD players in living room and master bedroom. DVD library, CD player/radio with CD's, IPOD dock speaker, alarm clocks, microwave, blender, coffee maker, and a fully equipped kitchen. The condo has a living room, dining room, kitchen and a balcony (private by palm trees) on the second floor over looking the pool, tropical landscape of the grounds and the Sierra Madre Mountains. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms with large walk in showers. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. There are three air conditioners (living room and both bedrooms) and four ceiling fans. Wi-Fi is available in the common area. The condo welcomes 4 guests. Off street parking is also available.

Getting around is easy with taxi's being abundant and inexpensive. The town of La Crucetia, which is a 25 peso ($2.50), five minute taxi ride, has many restaurants and markets. There is a large super market called Super Chea, which is also a 25 peso ride or a 20 minute walk. There are also many restaurants and markets within a close walking distance to the Santa Cruz Bay. We feel very safe here, the area has a small town feel and is rarely crowded. We see no signs of drug wars or any other crimes.

Huatulco is centrally located by its nine bay's and 36 beaches, some only accessible by boat. Each bay has it own unique character, some have several beaches which form little quite bays, others are wide open to the surf, and still others have coral reefs with crystalline water and numerous species of tropical fish. On a boat trip you will see the amazing wonder of a blow hole, sea turtles, and pods of dolphins and rays. Of the numerous times we have been to Huatulco, we still have numerous places to explore! Other activities to be enjoyed are jungle/ATV and coffee plantation tours, waterfalls, crocodile lagoon, sea turtle sanctuaries, zipline, a highly rated 18 hole golf course where equipment can be rented, tennis courts, or be pampered at the nearby health spa.

Huatulco (pronouced wah-TOOL-coe) (Bahias de Huatulco) is located on the Pacific coast of the state of Oaxaca, south of Acapulco. It is about 20 minutes drive from the airport. The weather is semi-humid with a year round average temperature of 82 F. You are almost 100% guaranteed you will have good weather from November - March. Huatulco has a rainy season in the spring.

About The Owner

Don and Audrey Shapka. We live in north central Alberta, Canada. Don runs his own business and me (Audrey) work in health care. We would love to spend more time in Huatulco, but until then it is wonderful to be able to share our place in paradise with you!

The Owner purchased this condo in 2008
Why The Owner chose Huatulco

We first visited Huatulco on a cruise ship in 2005, and knew that this was one place we would like to go back and visit. A couple of years later friends of ours visited Huatulco and purchased a condo at Hacienda Real during it construction phase. We rented their condo in 2008 and low and behold we purchased one too! We fell in love with Huatulco because is not commercialized and not as expensive as other vacation spots. You are almost always guaranteed good weather.

What makes this condo unique

Hacienda Real condo is positioned in the middle of the nine bays. There is always some place different to go and explore. It is very easy to get around, taxis are very inexpensive, and you can walk to do most things.

Beautiful Huatulco

The condo in Huatulco was well equipped and had a lovely garden and pool area. The location was very convenient for catching the local bus or cab into town or to other bays. The owner was very easy to communicate with and provided us with lots of information prior to our arrival as well as having maps and suggestions of things to do in the condo. We met many lovely people who were either owners or renters at the complex, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The property was clean and the grounds and pool were immaculate. We enjoyed exploring Huatulco and area and managed to see most of the nine bays around Huatulco as well as getting to San Augustinillo and San Augustine. Our only complaint would be the noise, since the complex is close to a busy road we found it to be quite noisy during the day and late afternoon. Huatulco is an interesting place and we would recommend staying at La Hacienda Real.

Just got back from a five week stay in this condo. It was our fifth year in Huatulco and our first staying in a condo instead of an all-inclusive. Audrey made the whole rental process easy and was willing to accommodate us in any way she could. This property is perfectly situated just far enough from the hubbub of Santa Cruz and La Crucecita but close enough to enjoy after a short walk or $3 taxi ride. There are so many good restaurants nearby to take advantage of but after a day of fun in the sun it was nice to come back and have a relaxing supper in our own hideaway.
We would not hesitate to recommend this property, but on the other hand don't want to recommend this property as we want to be sure it is available for our next trip! We have already booked for next year and can hardly wait.

Great place for a great vacation

We stayed at this place in June of 2012 with a little child. It is a lovely place – beautifully decorated, perfect set of appliances, some extras like books, board games. The owner put together really helpful binder with the information about restaurants, maps, places to go etc. There are beach chairs in the closet. The pool is very clean and has a little library next to it.

The only downside to the condo is a very pure internet connection inside the apartment. An Ipad was not able to find the network, a laptop could only see it in the kitchen corner, and the speed was very slow.

We really liked Huatulco beaches. I highly recommend the seven bays tour. I would definitely come to Huatulco again and stay at this place.

Clean, cozy and comfortable!

All I can say is that it was an awesome experience. Audrey made the rental process pleasant and easy. The condo was clean and spacious and equipped with all you need to make your own meals. The beach chairs, cooler and umbrella were a big plus! The location is perfect as it is central to all the beaches and a short $2.00 taxi ride to the central square. Santa Cruz beach is just a short walk from the condo. Satelite TV was great to have to relax in the evenings, although you do not go to Huatulco to watch TV, it was sure nice to have. We were just amazed that we could watch our local news (from Edmonton) while we were in Mexico!!. There is also satelite TV in the master bedroom!.

Audrey went the extra mile when we changes our plans and decided to stay a few extra days. SHe had another rental, but arranged with another owner for us to stay.

The pool was nice and clean and vry refresshing. We definately would rent this condo again and would highly recommend it.

Well we're just wrapping up our 2nd stay at this beautiful little gem and are so sad that our time here is coming to a close. We had another fantastic stay at this condo in Hacienda Real and won't hesitate to stay here again in the future. Met the owners this time, fantastic people, just to bad we couldn't have spent more time getting to know them. Audrey & Don are the quintessential owners and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is wonderful. Anyone considering staying in the area should consider renting this unit in Hacienda Real. Great price, great pool, everything you need to make your stay enjoyable, and only a 5 min walk to Santa Cruz Bay, 15 min to Super Che for groceries, and less than 30 min walk to town for dining and taking in the local flavour. Keep up the good work guys and hold a spot for us for our next visit.
