Authentic Mexican shopping/dining is a block away in La Cruz. You can also hit other nearby towns via a short bus or boat ride or drive. The city bus stop for all these places is just 2 blocks away.
La Cruz is a great 'central' location, as it is midway between Puerto Vallarta to the south (20 minutes away), and Punta Mita to the north (20 minutes away). Punta Mita is home to the famous Jack Nicklaus signature designed golf course and the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel complex. Other nearby towns include Bucerias with great authentic Mexican restaurants and shopping, or Nuevo Vallarta and Marina Vallarta - plush Marina areas.
