The guest house is located in a small, quiet, seaside community, not far from the Cape Kumakahi lighthouse, at the easternmost point of the Big Island. It is a very comfortable, totally private, 2-story 1500 sq. ft. home with large lanais adjoining both the kitchen and the master bedroom on the 2nd floor and is located in a park-like setting with 2 tidal ponds, many palm trees and tropical plantings. There is a large tidal-controlled thermal swimming and fish pond (usually about 88 degrees Fahrenheit) with colorful reef fish in front of the house and a dock for relaxing and sunbathing. It's a four minute walk down the street to the ocean to the best swimming entry into the world famous Wai’ Opae fish preserve tidal ponds (about ½ mile long and several hundred feet wide) which offer the safest swimming and unrivaled scenic snorkeling in east Hawaii.

  • $115-125/Night Year Round (double occupancy)
  • Rates are based on double occupancy and $10/per night for each additional guest. 12.25% Hawaii state taxes not included.
    Payment options: traveler's check, cashiers/registered check,
    personal/business check, money order, cash. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS (except for the security deposit through the PayPal website).
    Minimum stay: 4 nights Smoking permitted on lanais only. No pets allowed

    Deposits: A deposit of $250, which will be your refundable security deposit, is required to confirm the booking and 50% of the rental fee, by check or money order, must be received within 10 working days. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to arrival. There is a $60 cleaning fee.
    Cancellations and Refunds: A 90% refund will be made for cancellations up to 30 days prior to arrival. For cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival a 50% refund will be made unless the rental can be rebooked
  • Check in time: 3:00 pm, checkout time 11:00 am

The large interconnected ponds are separated from the open ocean by a reef and are always calm even when the sea beyond the reef is wild. Accommodations: Warm Springs Guest House has a King sized bed in the master bedroom on the 2nd floor, 2 singles in one downstairs bedroom, and a single in the other downstairs bedroom. There are 2 full baths: 1 on the first floor and another adjoining the master bedroom on the 2nd floor. Amenities: There is a table with folding umbrella on the dock and a picnic table on the kitchen lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped including, granite counter tops, refrigerator-freezer, microwave oven, Jenn-Air radiant electric cooktop, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, a wide assortment of pots and pans, and an outdoor charcoal barbecue. There is a Wifi computer connection (see amenities) phone, satellite TV, DVD-CD player, and an AM-FM radio.

Linens including beach towels, all household supplies. A washer and dryer are also provided. Activities: Swimming, snorkeling, skin diving, surfing, and a large public hot pond are all available nearby. Walking and bicycling around Kapoho are safe and pleasant. There are farmer's markets in Pahoa, on the road to Hilo, and in Hilo Town. Lava viewing is often possible from Kalapana (about 10 mi. from Kapoho) or in the National Park (depending on where the lava flows happen to be located at the time) and Volcanoes National Park has many hiking trails in both rain forest and desert environments. Sightseeing possibilities are nearly unlimited.

A special thank you to Beverly, Dallas and Trevor. Beverly & Dallas your house was a lovely get away from the hussle and busle of life. You can just enjoy life around the house or go out adventuring, whatever your energy level. The minnows in the pond out front give you a great natural foot or back message. The tidal pools which we were so busy we didn't really enjoy until two days before leaving were wonderful. You thought about amenities we were not expecting you to, which was a very nice addition to an already delightful vacation spot. We would recommend this house whole heartly. You really have the option to relax or sight see, adventure, swim with the sea turtle's at Black Beach, the volcano park, waterfalls, horseback riding,luai and much more.Trevor wanted to thank you for all your help and advice prior to reaching Hawaii, you were a great help to us. You answered any questions we had, and gave us direction where we needed it. Again a sincere thank you for a wonderful 11 day vacation in your home

Quiet, Private and Relaxing!

We enjoyed our stay so much that we promised we would come back. Everything was supplied to make yourself a meal, the pond was amazing to just sit by while eating breakfast. The hot pools were just down the road and it was so easy just to spend hours following all the fish. The farmers markets on Saturday were also one of the highlights. Would recommend to family, singles, couple or anyone.

We had a wonderful time. The guest house is enjoyable, pleasant and relaxing. It's a terrific base from which to visit the rest of the island. Surely a "go back to".

Beautiful location, very peaceful.

House was well appointed - our only "negative" would be that for our party of 2 couples and my 80 year-old mother-in-law, the second bathroom only being accessiible through the single bedroom was not ideal.

Property was exactly as it looks on the web page, everything we needed was there. Beverley, Dallas and Trevor professional and efficient.

Would definitely recommend this to others!

We really enjoyed our stay in the guest house. Just walking around Kapoho it's easy to see that this is one of the best maintained propertys there. It is a perfect spot for a relaxing Hawaii vacation, away from the bustle of the resort scene, but close enough to everything we wanted to see and do. I only wish we'd discovered how good the snorkling in the tidepools was earlier in our stay.
