Slayden Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving week in this comfortable cabin. The accomidations were splendid and all things necessary were provided, unlike most cabins we have rented in the past. The property managers were helpful and readily available to provide information about the attractions in the area as well as directions to grocery markets, bait shops and convenience stores. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to a friend, in fact, we can't wait to vacation there again

Had a great time

  • 5 of 5

There were 5 of us. We had a great time in this house. Everything we needed was right there. As one of the 5 ladies, I even noticed that there was a " make up cleansing tissues" for the ladies in both bathrooms. What a thoughtful detail.

Steve was so friendly and helpful. We all did enjoy meeting him.

I would definitely recommend this charming house right by the river to everyone who is looking for a home away from home. Even in the winter time... drinking the first morning coffee right by the river, enjoying the silence was priceless!

Thank you !

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking your time to give us your feed back on your stay with us, it means alot. The detail of make up cleaning tissues is my wife and we could not do this without both of us enjoying and trying to make your stay a memory that you would like to come back to. Thank you once again

Love this place!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I loved this charming cabin! There were 6 adults and one child and we were all very comfortable. We were able to spend time playing games and enjoying one another. The kitchen was fully furnished and had everything we needed to bake some holiday treats. We stocked up on food for the week and we were able to save some money by cooking at the cabin. The cabin's location was beautiful even in the winter with the drive to Nashville only being about 20 min away. Steve is also a wonderful property owner--very friendly and helpful.

The ONLY couple negative things I have to say were probably a direct result of the fact that we were at the cabin in the winter, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed them. The first is, free wi-fi is advertised but the signal is extremely weak if you can get any signal at all. The second is that the television in the cabin, while large, is a little aged and the coloring is beginning to fade somewhat. These are things I'm sure aren't important in the summer, but since we were inside a lot, we noticed.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on the cabins and staying with us. We have had the person that put in the WIFI system come out and look at the problem. As you know we had some construction done on the property and the wire got plugged into the wrong area. The last group told me the signal was good but we apologize for that. We have taken the Sony big screen out and replace with a other television to take care of the other problem. We thank you for bring it to our attention and hope to see you again.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in the cabin and had a great time. Fishing was great, caught lots of cat fish and bass. One of the most well stocked cabins I have stayed in the and the owners Steve and Debbie are great. Loaned us some fishing poles when ours broke and gave us great tips when headed to Nashville. Cabin was very clean and would love to go back again. Close to town and some great restaurants.
