GORGEOUS FLAT IN THE BEST SF LOCATION! A WALKER'S PARADISE!

Though my stay in San Francisco was due to my partner having open-heart surgery, my mother-in-law and I did not want to stay in a hotel while my partner was recuperating at CPMC (California Pacific Medical Center), therefore we were looking for a 2-bedroom apartment and boy, did we score!!!
After spending most of our days at the hospital, comig back to the apartment was a welcome relief and total relaxation. With Mollie Stones (local market) 2 blocks away, and a plethora of restaurants, shops, and bars, you can't go wrong in the Castro!

The apartment had Old Charm Castro. We absolutely loved it. And what's even better is that the apartment sits in the back, not right on the Castro strip, therefore you are able to get sleep and rest. Showers in the morning --- lovely! Strong jet streams to wake you right up!

As in the previous review, I may suggest upgrading the sofa bed, and perhaps a "softer" bed in the main bedroom (although I prefer a "firmer" bed - my partner preferred it be "softer...") My mother-in-law who slept in the smaller room stated it met her needs. It was also nice to just chill in the living room and watch t.v. One pleasant surprise is that if you open the kitchen window facing north, you are treated to this wonderful view of two gardens adjacent to each other. Simply beautiful...

Now for the time that we were there, I did have to use my car to get back and forth to the hospital although the Muni stopped in front of Castro/18th and would have taken us directly to CPMC. If you MUST use a car, then may I suggest getting a temporary visiting parking permit (at SFMTA on 10 South Van Ness Avenue) ) which allows you to park your car in the Castro and not have to move your car every 2 hours!! That information was given to us by a neighbor in the Castro!

All in all, this apartment was beyond our expectations. Laila was even gracious when unexpectedly, we needed an extra night and she was able to accommodate us! When we come back to SF under better circumstances, this is one apartment I will definitely come back to!!!

We stayed at this property for 6 days. I have to say that we were amazed at how convenient this location was. We were a block from the MUNI which will take you all the important stops for all the museums, and main points of interest. We did not rent a car while there. With this location there was no need to. If you are wanting to partake in the life blood of the castro, everything is close by literally. Harvey's, The Edge, 440, QBar, Badlands, Starbucks, and tons of shopping geared to us men are all about a block in any direction. Makes for an easy trek home after an enjoyable night... LOCATION IS AWESOME. Great walks were had through the castro, close to the haight/ashbury, the mission, delores park. Great local restaurants are all around - you just have to walk around and discover them.

The apartment itself was great. Awesome split bathroom, newly updated kitchen...Everything worked well. Large washer/dryer in the unit was awesome. The shower is large enough for two, great water pressure and very relaxing! Great little courtyard...Open the windows, and you just had this awesome breeze running through the flat. Great views of Castro Valley from most of the windows...

Extremely quiet! You could not hear any of the buzz that was going on castro street. I have to say that I will stay here again! It definitely made for an enjoyable stay, relaxed and calm. Checking in was super convenient.

Kudos to the staff that arranges everything. Dealt with them via email, processed the transaction and all was good to go! The unit has everything you would need for a short to long stay in San Francisco.

It was not our first in San Francisco, but the first with our little girl. We were looking for a location where we could have restaurants, shops, markets, etc. not too far and also public transports. We got it all with a wonderful apartment. Fully furnished, very good beds and a very calm area to sleep near a vibrant street. Everything we needed was there. You got a lot of buses, tramway and also the metro next to the apartment and you can quickly go everywhere you want in San Francisco. Very good communication and organization with people who rent this apartment (even if we never saw them - we had all the instructions and information we needed).
Now, thanks to them, we know where we will go next time we come back: in the Castro ! And if we can, in the same place.
