An absolutely gorgeous condo with beautiful furnishings and perfectly suited for a family. In a great location with plenty of activities, just steps away from the Lake Michigan beach with spectacular sunsets. We hope all your guests enjoy their stay as much as we did. Hope to see you again in 2006.
These condos are the best around. The room set up was perfect for our family, the beach out the back door, plenty of golf, biking and canoeing. We're looking forward to our second vacation there in August 2005.
We LOVED our week here in August of 2004. So much in fact that we booked a week in 2005 as soon as we could. The beach is at the back door and the home is wonderful. Manistee is also a lovely town!

Hiking is available nearby in Lake Bluff Audubon Center, Orchard Beach State Park, North Country trail among others in Manistee National Forest and the Nature Conservancy is rapidly developing sites north on M22.
The Lake Bluff Audubon Center has some California Redwoods growing that were planted in the 1940s. Pretty cool. I watch for them every time I drive to or from Manistee on Lakeshore Rd.
For a fun afternoon, try the wine tasting at Douglass Valley Winery, just a few miles away. They have hard cider too. Some spectacular panoramic lake views on the way up the hill.
Try to catch a lake freighter going up the Manistee River to dock in Manistee Lake. It is pretty amazing.
Lots of fishing in the area on the big lake, local rivers and inland lakes.

Just up M22 from Frankfort lies the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore.
Visit Point Betsie and the Point Betsie Lighthouse on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Traverse City is about an hours drive away.
There is so much up north kind of stuff to do in the area. On M31 on the way to Traverse City near the town of Honor is the Cherry Bowl Drive In Movie theater. Google it.
And you haven't lived 'til you've had the cherry pie at the Cherry Hut in Beulah. YUM!!
Our favorite in the middle of no where store is Wee Bee Jammin' just north of the village of Bear Lake on M31.
Our favorite garden center is Crystal Gardens north of Frankfort on M22. They have interesting gifts and souvenirs in their shop.
Our favorite rock shop is C&M Rock Shop just north of Honor on M31. Bruce wrote the book on Petoskey Stones and stones on Lake Michigan Beaches. I have copies of 2 of his books in the condo.
Our favorite restaurant is The Painted Lady on 8th street in Manistee.
