Growing up in Florida, my family loved our vacations to the mountains of North Carolina. Once I married,my husband and kids continued the tradition and have made more wonderful memories of our own. We vacationed in many places in North Carolina until we visited a friend in Bryson City and fell in love with it. We bought the perfect piece of property with a creek and camped on it for a few years until we built our cabin. Just walking along the creek listening and enjoying nature is a gift. We enjoy having so many things to do in one area. We love the small town feel and yet so close to Cherokee, Smokey Mountains, Blue Ridge parkway, Asheville, Nantahala George, too many to list. We are sure you will love it as much as we do.

Hi Alice - I just wanted to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed our trip to your cabin. It was a great trip in many respects. We loved the privacy and space of both the cabin itself and the property in general. My little boy could have just sat by the on-property creek all day!
We had a blast over at Deep Creek (tubing), explored Bryson City, and made several treks to the heart of the national park itself. As you know, it's a bit of a drive to the heart of the park, BUT, when we left to go home after spending the day in Asheville/seeing Biltmore, we went through the Gatlinburg side of the park, and I sure was glad we stayed where we did. It was a drive from where we were to the park, but a beautiful and peaceful one w/o a lot of the hokey tourist stuff (except for Cherokee...but that museum is worth a stop).
Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to create some great memories in a beautiful part of the country!
