Enchanting honeymoon getaway!

Katerade7 Davis, CA, USA
Review Submitted: April 30, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
This adorable cabin is the perfect spot for a true romantic getaway. It is tucked back off of the street in a beautiful foresty area and the minute you walk in the door, you know youre not going to want to leave. When we arrived, the owner met us there and provided so many ideas for us on where to eat, site see, etc. And then she let us be for the rest of the weekend. Not only is the cabin amazing, but the town of Cambria is sooo quaint. We walked around downtown, did some wine tasting, smoked cigars, and treated ourselves to a nice dinner. Everything is so clean and fresh, it reminded us of Disneyland. And of course the beach is right there and we went on a beautiful hike along the San Simeon coast. The elephant seals were captivating. Anyway, we cant say enough good things about this cabin and town. In fact, we are so fond of it that we are planning to return for our one year anniversary in July and are very much looking forward to it!!

A Perfect Getaway

Gretagirl city
Review Submitted: October 7, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Our family of five just spent a week in this lovely little cabin. Our 2 little boys yelled with delight when we pulled into the driveway, "we're staying in a lincoln log cabin!" The cabin is set back from the street, has large trees in front and these things add to the secluded, cozy feeling of the cabin.
Inside everything was perfectly clean and well maintained. It was small, but did not feel cramped or crowded. Rather, it was light and airy making for a peaceful feeling the minute we walked in the door. And there were five of us! We used the fireplace every night, and while it was a bit smokey, it really didn't bother us. The down comforters on the beds kept us warm each night and the bed was quite comfortable. It was really just right for relaxing and getting away from it all.
Walking the neighborhood, we saw deer and California quail. We hiked in the nearby forest and walked down the long hill to the beach. It was a long walk back up, but we had to work off all the good food we had been eating, so we didn't mind.
In all, I'd say the cabin was a perfect combination of being secluded in the woods while still being minutes from the beach. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Perfect Getaway Cabin

leyla74 orange county, ca
Review Submitted: December 21, 2007 Date of Stay: December 2007
I booked this cabin for the weekend of my boyfriend's birthday. It was perfect! The full kitchen allowed me to prepare complete birthday dinner and breakfast spreads for us to enjoy without the crowd of a restaurant. The cozy wood-burning stove kept the place toasty warm. The charm of the wooded location made us feel secluded and relaxed.
We spent one day of our stay wine tasting around Paso Robles, which was a short drive from the cabin. We finished that day with an amazing dinner at Artisan, right in the heart of Paso.
The next day, we headed down to the West End Bar and Grill in Cambria to take in the football game and enjoy some great pub food. I recommend the sourdough clam chowder bowl. He recommends the chili burger. Then we drove a few miles north of Cambria to walk the coast of San Simeon. We watched sea otters swim around below us on the pier and hiked along the bluffs, amazed by the quiet, undeveloped shores (we're from Southern California).
Neither one of us wanted to leave. We agreed this would be a regular destination for our quick getaways in the future. And I've not stopped recommending the cabin to friends and family since we got home.
Enjoy!
